reporter: she add admitted to ridicule but is not backing down. the sophomore is talking about getting doused with a styrofoam cup full of steaming hot soup. on october 15th she says she was walking in a hallway at lowell tech when she exchanged words with a male student. he dumped a cup of hot suit over on her head. she said she was simply defendinger self against punches former wannabe boyfriend turned bully. the second degree burn sent her to the er. >> it was tingling and then burning. after my head started pound is the incident was captured on a camera the boy has been suspended. but they want more. they believe the teen suspect should be expelled and police will head to court next week for a probable cause hearing on charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, scalding soup.

the world the number of british police officers now looking into the disappearance of little madeleine mccann have been cut from 29 to 4. those officers will continue to follow a small number of leads. madeleine you may remember was a toddler when she vanished in may of 2007 at the time she was on vacation with her family in portugal. the navy says plans to use side scan sonar technology to find that cargo ship that wint down in hurricane joaquin. they are listening to the pinker but with no luck it's traininging vat just. 33 people including 6 with ties to new england died onboard. it does appear that congressman paul ryan will be the next speaker of the house. when the full house votes tomorrow the 45-year-old is expected to become the youngest speaker more than 150 years. ryan of course was mitt romney's running mate in the 2012 presidential election. he is seen as the republican who can he guide the party out of its internal feuding.

(lost audio). that's our highest chance of seeing more damaging wind by 10:00 a.m. storms moving across the cape out to sea behind the line there should be some sun and high temps tomorrow 70 to # 5 degrees warm breezy it will feel pore like a spring day than anythinges. slight chance of afternoon shower before the trier air takes control. winds guting 30 miles per hour increase as we head through the highest gusts will be along the immediate shoreline specially cape cod and the islands will consistently see gusts between 40 and 50 miles per hour. farther inland gusts enough to bring down some leave. falling leaves plus rain something we haven't dealt with so far this season. those roads will be slick use extra caution traveling. tomorrow morning strongest winds will mainly be confined to downpours where we have the downpours and storms.

is live on the red carpet in brookline. cate, you have seen the movie how was it? reporter: lisa, you know being from boston i am tough on boston movies, but this movie was very authentic. it was very boston. you know what it didn't get the attention promotion of black mass but this is an important film again about boston lobe recorders uncovering the church sex abuse scandal what they did impacted the entire catholic church. tonight it is the premier red carpet in boston for the stars who are in town. they will watch the movie with the real life report earth the survivors, they will walk the red carpet attend the screening together. now this movie i saw last week it is an important film. it is well done. it portrays the cover up and what happened here in 2002. it is authentic. it's shot at the boston going it feels very boston. it feels very true to way really happened if you can
