live from the channel 4 studios in boston. wbz at 11 starts right now. new at 11:00 an emergency delivery after a pregnant woman and her husband are seriously hurt in a crash. that surveillance video shows their car flipping in the roadway. tonight we learned that mother delivered her baby nearly two months premature and her family tells us that everyone is okay. >> but this crash was traumatic and we are learning more about what may have caused it. >> reporter: remarkably, mother, father and the new baby boy are all doing well tonight, but just this morning all of their lives nearly ended. when you see the video it's

witnesses say they heard at least six shots. sixth construction workers were badly injured in mayor maramac. they are expected to survive, but investigator are trying to figure out what went wrong. accused of throwing rocks and firing a bb gun at people. jim has our story tonight in lowell. >> reporter: police tell me that what happened here this morning was just disgusting, no other word for it. they say when authorities arrived one of the young suspects through a rock at police and the situation could have gotten worse had the other young man pointed his bb gun at them. this spot is well known for homeless people, so to target

>> it's tough to have to live the way they do. for this to happen, it's just degrading. >> reporter: police say three boys went on the attack. >> one of them started to walk in and he watched them on top of the bridge. one was firing them and the other two were throwing rocks at them. >> reporter: they are both 12 years old. the kid with the bb gun is 14. >> he also had a backpack with a tube that had 6,000 extra bbs in it. >> reporter: the boy's bb gun looks exactly like the smith carry. the officers say it almost indetectible.
