this noon. the trial of a danvers teen accused of murdering his math teacher is underway. phillip consider, hisolm was in the courtroom this morning the first time in weeks. the prosecution was put on hold to figure out if he's competent enough to face trial. i'm catherine houser. >> and thank you for joining us. the judge ruled he will stand trial and nicole jacobs is live in salem with more on what happened in court thisser nothing. gad afternoon, nicole. >> reporter: good afternoon to you, chris and catherine. the big takeaway, the judge determined phillip chisolm is competent to stand trial and the results of the mental health report given to the court by the way of a 67-page report will get to you some video from inside the courtroom there morning. of course, you can see a much different looking 16-year-old. he has had a haircut, different

from what we have seen the last few proceedings. the findings of his mental health evaluation will remain under seal. and court officers reported-- reportedly witnessed him banging his head against walls and floors of the holding cell and he was said to be non- responsive to a court clinician and this is a judge explaining why he believes chisolm is competent. >> based on having read the report, the court finds that mr. chisolm has a present ability to consult with his attorney and -- [ indiscernible ] rationale is outstanding of the proceedings against him. happy to understand the process and his ability to function in that process. >> so, the defense requested a

the judge ultimately denying chisolm's attorney called the anniversary of the death and the activity finding -- around it connecting to the emotional day of the area. she would like to start ayou in, when it comes to the perspective jury pool saying social media makes it difficult to avoid any information related to the case and now, as of right now, it appears the judge will simply start where he left off three weeks ago, and that is with the 16 jurors who were in the box, so to speak and that will begin tomorrow. of course, it will continue on friday. of course, we're looking for a number of 16 or 18, the number still in question as well and the judge said it depends on how far into the holiday season they go and when these expert witnesses might be called, their availability and that time of thing. again, the takeaway here, the judge said that phillip chisolm is competent to stand trial and

will be underway this hour. >> thank you. and more breaking news out of quincy. a large fire is under control at a home on newport avenue. sky eye is over the scene a short time ago. you can see smoke coming over the roof there and at one point, all crews were ordered out of the house and things are under control now. >> and bridgewater police are on the scene of a body found along train tracks there. the body was gagged and burned. >> and an investigation getting started. jim mission is is live with the latest from police. what can you tell us, jim? >> reporter: as you might expect, a horrific crime scene here in bridgewater. that woman's body discovered by railroad tracks and details are disturbing. >> significant burns on her body at this point and that she was bound by the railroad tracks. >> reporter: the d.a. describing a brutal murder.

the body of a woman found tied up and burning. the some discovery made before midnight. >> and she was bound -- her hands were tied about hind her back and her hands were in some fashion tide toward her feet from behind. >> reporter: police in the early stages of the investigation, the horrific nature of the crime has state, local, and transit police extremely concerned. >> and this is obviously a very concerning incident for this community. and i will say that all of our investigative resources are being devoted to determining who the perpetrator or perpetrators of this crew am are. >> reporter: there could be a separate crime scene. investigators are trying to determine if the woman was murdered elsewhere and her body brought to the scene and burned. >> we don't have any evident at this point that the came happened here other than the fact that the burning happened there and as it pertains to when the individual was killed.

from the me's office and we'll have more. >>i the i dent of the victim is not identified yet is any -- [ indiscernible ] late last night around the same sometime and a very active investigation. jim smith, wbz news. back to you. >> jim, thank you very much. a fourth person is expected to be a raped in the murder of a marshfield man. they will face murder and burglary charges. the 45-year-old robert mckenna was found dead and three others are charged in that crime. and a horrific wreck caught on camera. the car flips in manchester sending a pregnant woman and her husband to the hospital. and there, the doctors rushed to performance eels c-section. we're hearing more from the family. susie has more live from manchester. >> reporter: we're hearing from

police and they haven't filed charges. that could change today. meanwhile, the family is recovering at elliot hospital doing well considering this crash could easily help them. looking at the mangled metal on wednesday, you could tell something went seriously wrong here and that this mess is nothing compared to what cameras captured tuesday morning joshua was driving behind the go cars involved in the crash and watched as the mazda clipped the back of the assault and battery sending it flying into the air and landing on a pole. it's possible both could drive charge -- face charges. forthcoming. >> reporter: bystanders kept saying how lucky they were to be alert and conscious. especially once they learned the woman in the passenger seat was pregnant. >> and very, very lucky, you know, especially with the baby. >> reporter: eric turner is her dad.

now, we have learned an illinois police officer staged suicide. the police say 52-year-old lieutenant joe gliniewicz shot himself in september and -- shot himself in september and homicide. he was stealing money from his years. a burlington mosque defaced by graffiti is holding an interfaith event today. two teenagers were charged with spray painting usa on three sides of the islamming center on halloween need. before painting over the graffiti members, they will retag the building with more religious diversity. today's event is being called we are americans. a stoughton woman is pleading with the thieves who broke into her car and stole her brother's ashes. >> the car was one of several broken into early yesterday morning. the thief stole money, credit cards, and a small prescription bottle with her brother's

. that looks like something out of a movie, right? a plane in trouble deploys its emergency parachute and lands on an arkansas highway. the pilot was the former wal- mart ceo bill simon he said the plane's oil system failed so he had to make an emergency landing. the plane clipped a truck on the way down. luckily, simon and two passengers and the driver of the truck suffered minor injuries. and they should play the

lottery or something. that is amazing. they were okay. >> yeah. >> and. marshfield is hit up by hackers. >> tens of thousands stolen from the south shore town's bank account. officials say they noticed the account was lacking $30,000 at rockland trust. the account ensured those so they get the money back. >> and where so much of this is done electronically now, money transfers and that is how we operate in this day and age. lots of that is approved to pay bills and i think this person was able to infiltrate that system. >> much cybercrime these days comes from overseas. the police think these hackers are vocal. and we might be enjoying the mild november days to kick off the month and snow and ice had no way. the general managers for the mwta, the company that operates the commuter rail, will unveil new equipment even in the one

clear skies into the evening. no weather-related issues and the solar glare. that sun sets and otherwise, the whole northeast quarter is doing fine foot mid-atlantic as well and there is a big ridge of high in and that high slides off of the coast line tomorrow. the wind on the back side out of the south-southwest and we will have more clouds mixing in at times. in the south coast and that is a dry thursday. the temperatures up around 70 degrees tomorrow afternoon. and there is a threat for a couple of showers that don't come in until tomorrow night, early on friday and even at that, we could admit the usual rain. notice 5:00 a.m. on friday, the scattered showers, more light than anything and more of a nuisance than anything and not anticipating heavy rain or anything like that. friday morning, 10:00 a.m., pockets of light rain in southeastern massachusetts and there is a surge of warm air. friday afternoon, the sun breaks out. it's breezy and warm.

brings in the warmth and we will likely hit record high touches friday afternoon and this is a cold front inside the evening. a couple of brief passing showers, gusty wind and the cool air coming in behind that front for the weekend. there is saturday morning. the front is nearby. there might be lingering clouds early in the morning on saturday and clearing comes in. overnight tonight, 51 in boston. not too bad. the 40s in the suburbs and shouldn't be as cold as it was this morning and wow, beautiful. 68 degrees in boston. 62 in nashua and we're back up to where we were a couple of days ago. upper 60s, keen and jaffrey, a light south-southwest breeze and in norwood, the high tomorrow, the beginning of september. and some cludes -- clouds mixing in and on friday, we'll tie it.

getting a closer look here in massachusetts. the bay state has almost 13,000 people making a million dollars or more a year. >> ah, to dream, right? when it comes to where they live, apparently they stick together. the city of boston had the highest number of million- dollar earners, according to the department of revenue, with 1,698. percentage wise the population in certain places, westin had the highest proportion of millionaires, 43% and dover, wellesley, lincoln, and manchester by the sea. beautiful places to drive-thru. >> yes. to drive-thru. >> exactly. >> and maybe some day -- and we probably need to be a millionaire toba one of boston's priciest pieces of real estate. >> this is crazy. you can can't move there but park there. a beacon hill parking spot has been lifted for $650,000. and that pricetag does not include the $3,000 a year in
