going down. they make sure we're staying awake and perky. it's dark, but gorgeous outside. it's 54 degrees in the city. 46 the dew point, the wind out of the east, highs near 60 degrees, 60 on the dot in boston. go inland, nashua sup to 68 degrees, and the berkshires they're looking at the low 70s this afternoon. anywhere east of denver, it's locked up until the intermountain west. very warm in florida. the warmest temperature recorded in tampa, they're up to 92 this afternoon. tallahassee set their record yesterday. a lot of big heat across much of the eastern united states. high pressure is in control and the storm track is in the north. it will stay clear tonight. it will develop especially in the valleys, looking to lows from 42 to 48. the boston temperature is not going to fall much at all as we

head through the rest of tonight. this is right before the sun comes up. what are the objects besides the moon and the stars. venus is the brightest one, jupiter is the second brightest and mars is the dimmest. it's great once before sunrise. we have some of the valley fog, we're off to the races after that. very warm day, we're up into the 70s and a nice mix of sun and clouds, cooler along the south coast and the islands and variable cloud cover in the evening. we're going for a high of 73, 74 in bedford and 73 in norwood. a little cooler again right towards the south coast and the cape. i expect lower clouds to start moving in there as we head through tomorrow. you'll notice the low cloud in buzzards bay and cape cod. this will head into tomorrow night. it will stay put as we head into the day on friday. this will come up over the cooler water.

there will be a lot of clouds around and widely scattered showers. i'm not expecting significant rain with it. as we head into the afternoon, you'll notice some of these breaks if we get enough of them. i wouldn't be surprised to see mid- to upper 70s, a little more conservative and lower 70s for many. 74 in boston and the record 73, and that could fall. worcester forecasting 70 and the humidity will be up. it will be feel soupy outside on friday. a cold front moving through will be near coast, there should be clouds around the morning and there may be wet weather in nantucket and cape cod to start the day. it will be thinning out moving to the south and east, and high pressure builds in for sunday. look at the weekend forecast here. lower 60s, decreasing clouds from northwest to southeast. if you're heading towards the berkshires or vermont, you'll
