route 1 south, a smooth ride down from peabody. checking the south, the expressway is quincy to boston but no backups. route 3 north and 95 north are trouble free despite what you see the little red there on 95. that should be cleared up soon. chris, kathryn? it is 5:02 right now. we've been following breaking news for you in worcester. there is a report of a body found inside of a burned out car. the firefighters were called out to swan avenue to extinguish a car fire last night. they discovered what appears to be a body inside of the vehicle. this is on a dirt road in a remote area of worcester. police are on the scene investigating. we'll have an update for you. one of our crews is on the scene. we'll have more information coming up in just a few minutes. the discovery in worcester

a woman found and left along the train tracks. this morning, we have two questions, who is she sand who did this? an suv was seen near the train tracks. the witness called 911 and when police arrived, they found a woman's body still burning. investigators believe she was killed somewhere else and dumped on the tracks. >> everyone is shooken up. many people have lived here for 40, 50 years or more, and they are just not used to something even being a possible like this. >> that really is scary. >> police do not think this was a random killing. maine. authorities say a man shot and killed two women and a man inside of a home last night then killed himself. the 4-year-old girl who was the

daughter of two of the victims was inside at the time. she was not hurt. following developing news in new york. a small plane registered in new hampshire crashes in the water. it took place right off the coast of queens. crews recovered a body from the wreckage. on board. it's a two-seater heading from philadelphia to portsmouth, new hampshire. an isis bomb likely crashed in egypt. all 224 on board were killed. now some flights are suspended good morning, bree. kathryn. a u.s. official tells cbs news that video surfaced on youtube and appears to show someone on the ground taking video of the moment the plane takes off and later the moment it began tumbling to the ground. the person recording the video

seemed to know something was about to happen. the british government says a bomb caused this. >> there's a possibility the plane crash was because of a bomb on board the aircraft. >> reporter: it's based on this recording daring officials saying "we did not take the the intercepted communications by the terror group indicates they were behind the attack. >> it's a very troubling development that they've been able to get into a russian passenger jet. >> reporter: wbz security expert ed davis says this attack could be retaliation against russian air strikes in syria. >> there will be some ramifications for this. the russian government will to have respond. >> reporter: the u.s. is stressing it's still too early to rule on a cause. egyptian authorities did

recover the plane's black boxes but say the voice recorder is damaged and that it will take weeks to recover the data. cnn reports new intelligence suggests someone at the airport in egypt put a bomb on that plane. the head of the airport has been replaced. many flights are grounded leaving several thousand british tourists scrambling. officials are scrambling to get them out of the country. 5:06 on your thursday morning. a deadly crash in boston. a driver hits two women in a crosswalk at a busy intersection. one of them died from her injuries. susie, witnesses say the driver may not have even seen the victims. >> reporter:: that's right, chris. police are investigating if it was actually sun glare that caused this accident because so many people heard the driver saying she couldn't see while she was on tremont street yesterday afternoon. if you were in the area of the south end near tremont and

a large portion of the street was closed down for about four hours while police investigated. it was two elderly women attacked the street in the middle of the afternoon hit by a woman in a nissan verano who says she couldn't see anything. they were taken to the hospital. one unfortunately was pronounced dead last night. the other still in serious condition. so many bystanders say this was clearly an accident because of how distraught that driver was. >> i come out and i see the wrecked car and the two people and the owner of the car was shaking and crying. >> she was crying and saying she can't see because the sun was in her face. >> reporter: that female driver did cooperate with police, and at this point, no charges have been filed. we're live in boston's south end, susie steimle, wbz this morning. another bad accident on

route 20 in oxford sends three people to the hospital. this happened about a half mile from where a mother and her painy were killed last week. police are increasing patrols. crews will install a guardrail to prevent drivers from crossing the line. and the danvers teen accused of killing and raping his teacher's trial will resume. the trial was put on hold so the 16-year-old could have a mental health evaluation. boston sports teams paid big money for patriotic tributes during games. a new congressional report reveals how much some of our local teams profited. the new england patriots were paid $700,000 for the defense department for recognizing army national guard soldiers at home games. that as the second highest amount paid to any sports team.

the bruins got $280,000, and the red sox received $100,000. all of that money for gestures to our troops. the report released by arizona senators mccain and blake slams the practice that they call paid patriotism. >> when you see activities like this that people assume when they go to games are paid for out of the gooness of their -- goodness of their heart from the owners and then find out it's the taxpayers footing the bill, it cheapens it. >> the report did find that most of the money was for legitimate recruiting marketing. developers who want to build a $667 million casino will present their plan to state regulators today in boston. they say the resort and casino will bring in 4 million

the pro -- provocative headline "tax-achusetts is alive." now after years of strong political resistance to broad- based tax hikes, we sit back in the middle of the pack among the 50 states. just as critics have used it as a political weapon over the years long after it became a half truth, proponents of higher taxes will surely latch onto that globe headline to help make their case. that is a half truth as well. overall cost of living. throw in some of the nation's highest housing, energy, and health care costs. transportation. and factor in a host of other expenses and massachusetts in the most recent rankings i could find has the eighth highest cost of living in the country. 25% over the national average.

people sit back and right about now, people say wait, if we want to buy this year, we'd better get moving. so over the last week, we have seen a bit of increased activity. >> if you haven't been able to sell your home and you know with the holidays approaching, do you keep your home on the market? what should you do? >> if you want to sell your home, keep it on the market. if you take it off the market, it's not going to sell. i say casual sellers who are testing the market if they want to go off the market, go ahead. i'm glad to see that. it helps bring inventory down. if you are truly wanting to sell your home, you are better off leaving it on. inventory's starting to go down. so when there's less homes on the market that's when you want to be on the market. >> i feel like a lot of people may go into panic mode. >> enthusiasm shouldn't. when a home doesn't sell it stresses out home sellers. people think why isn't someone buying my home?

the statistics, i was surprised to see even i was surprised to see that you have .3% less of a chance of your home selling in november and december than you do in september or october. .3%. so there's a lot of numbers in the log on our web site -- oning blog on our web site so that is a tiny amount. so if i was serious about selling my home, i would leave it on the market. >> you said the peak of homes for sale was a month ago, not the spring. >> absolutely. in the spring, homes come on the market. we always find piers get out before sell -- buyers get out before sellers. they want the flowers out and everything perfect. everything got delayed. so homes come on slower in the spring and buyers are gobbling them up so the inventory stays down. as you go through summer into fall, inventory increases. so we were over 25,000 homes for sale in massachusetts for

we have a dense fog advisory for southern bristol and plymouth counties until 8:00 a.m. otherwise, there are a couple of showers that may come up and eclipse the south coast by this evening. rain and snow in portions of colorado back through north dakota right now. this front is going to bring us a threat for showers. we're on the warmer side. temperatures are so warm. increasing clouds as we head through the evening hours. notice it is the south coast that gets into a couple of showers this evening and overnight. tomorrow morning, a lot of us can be dry. the threat is greatest along the south coast, cape and islands tomorrow morning for scattered showers. in the afternoon, the clouds will dominate, but notice some breaks of sunshine money that will boost our temperatures into the 70s tomorrow afternoon. late in the day so by the evening hours, there may be a couple of brief showers well north and west of boston. that's a front coming in. saturday will be dry, but there will be lots of clouds that linger.

review within 72 hours, she would be fined $3200. some retailers have a nondisparagement clause, also known as a gag clause. it says it's the way to prevent the publishing of libellest content. yesterday, lawmakers held a hearing on the bill that would make the gag clauses illegal. another example they cited, a new york hotel tells guests, if you write a negative review, they can fine you $500. jen palmer refused to remove her review or pay the fine. clear view reported it as glynn consequent debt and it ruined her credit for years to come. so we want to hear what you have to say. i'll bet many people don't realize it. christina says "i believe you should be allowed to voice your thoughts, good or bad, but holding a business hostage to get what you want out of them like free night's stay or free meal or we'll give you bad reviews is awful."
