average. here's the big setup. why the warm air? we've got a ridge of high pressure over the east drying up the more moist air. the winds turned around to the south west and we'll keep that air mass in place tomorrow. we'll start to get more humid and there is a chance it could get even warmer tomorrow afternoon provided we get enough sunshine. meantime tonight's staying way above the normal. our overnight low is much warmer than the average high temperature for the date. there will be a few showers moving across cape cod and the islands. very contingent on cloud cover. all we'll need is a few breaks of sunshine. i wouldn't be surprised to see mid and upper 70s on the board right now playing more conservative. that potential is there. it'll also be more humid tomorrow than today. so our records for the day on friday, we're looking at 70 in worcester. i think we can tie that at least. boston's record is 73. we have a very good shot at beating that, especially considering we'll be starting
5:19 pm
