they can get. they are really out there now. >> the report for information leading up to the case is up to about $40,000 and he's hoping that attention on the case now will led to more information. many manchester, new hampshire, christina hager, wbz news. david, back to you. >> big break would be good. breaking news tonight. the president said the u.s. is taking "very seriously the possibility that an isis bomb brought down that russian airliner. the president made the remarks earlier today. british officials believe it was a bomb and isis had claimed responsibility. now to a developing story, a body found in a burning car in worcester. late today, investigators scoured the scene once again

ken macleod is live in worcester tonight. ken? >> reporter: paula, detectives have now vacated the premises leaving behind this isolated dirt road. they are not even officially calling this a murder investigation yet, but it has all of the earmarks. homicide detectives helped a burned sedan onto a wrecker and neighbors went ahead with yard choresp. >> it is a very remote area and it doesn't surprise me. >> reporter: he's talking about this dirt stretch of swan avenue winding through the woods near worcester airport where a handful of neighbors heard gunshots. >> with the woods in the back, you know, people could be, you know, shooting squirrels or whatever. >> reporter: last night, though, the shots were followed by something burning and with responding firefighters doused the flames, they encountered a nasty surprise.

>> as soon as they got to the car, they discovered what appears to be a body inside. car. so they backed up and called police. >> reporter: for hours this afternoon, detectives sifted through the blackened debris for evidence. the victim is believed to be a woman, although police have declined to confirm that. >> i don't know. i was very surprised. >> reporter: this stretch of road has long been known as illegal trash dumping, but murder is a new visitor. >> scary. definitely scary. >> reporter: a distraught woman showed up fearing the victim might be her 24-year-old sister whose family hasn't seen her in 36 hours or so and whose facebook page has gone strangely silent. ken macleod, wbz news. paula, back to you.

just yesterday, a burned body was found in bridgewater. at this point, they have not identified her or determined if she was murdered there or somewhere else. tonight, a framingham high school student has been charged with raping a classmate near the school. prosecutors say patrick cower and three others skipped school to go into the wood where's they were drivenning and taking drugs. found intoxicated and disoriented. the only person on the plane when this plane crashed into the water in queens. the person has not been identified yet. it's registered to a man in rye, new hampshire. turning to the weather tonight, each day this week gets better and better. temperatures in boston soared

into the 70s today. that won't last forever. in fact, take a look at this. has arrived. june. >> reporter: it's nice to string up the lights when it's aren't going numb. what a treat here for the start of november right here at the mobile weather lab. everybody is walking around and you barely need a jacket. temperatures have been so mild. kids running around having a good time. we're up to 76 in boston. not quite enough to get to us record territory. it can still get very warm this time of the year. the record was set back in 1994 and shy in worcester. tomorrow will be a different situation.

pain, she wants to take medical marijuana that. she says her doctors have signed off. even though it's legal since 2013, the state has never issued i.d. cards. >> as a union activist, i'm in a position to stand up. this is my final crusade. i'm not going to stop until we've accomplished our goal. for the first time in a decade, the navy will have a vessel named the uss massachusetts in its fleet. it will be a virginia class nuclear attack submarine like the one you see here. the navy will announce when it will be in service this weekend. the last one to carry it is now a museum in fall river.

we set the clocks back. we've got that good new tree smell here. you can join us on november 21st as they start putting this up tomorrow and lighting it and we'll simulcast it on my tv 38 on november 21. write that down. we know it won't be as warm then as it was today. the record today goes all the way up to 79 set in 1994. we'll have a much better shot tomorrow. where does that stand in how unusual is this? our average was october this 14th. the latest we reached temps so warm is december. this has just been a stretch of them. tomorrow, sunday is our only chance through the end of next week with one day with below average temperatures. with southerly winds bringing

up moisture and warmer air. a lot of record highs in the east today. there will be many more tomorrow. we're also tracking the cold front that's going to bring some changes. tonight we stay in the 50s to low 60s. the humidity creeps up and clouds start to thicken. a chance for a couple of showers and a chance for a couple more stray showers tomorrow morning. then the high temperatures well into the 70s contingent on sun tomorrow. i wouldn't be surprised to see upper 70s tomorrow afternoon. as it is, forecasting 75. taking a look at the hour by hour, expecting the clouds to fill in. big question mark on how long we can keep the sun out. it's going to be a very warm day. also tracking a couple of showers and not expecting a lot of action. on saturday, there are clouds hanging out, especially across

the basic things they need to outfit 2500 apartments. today with generous donations, they are still turning houses into homes. they have it all, furniture, dishes, beds, even pictures to hang on the wall. all in a 10,000 square foot show room in acton. donations are coming in, and volunteers give thousands of hours of their time to clean and organize the items. >> they give us household goods that they don't need which are perfectly good. >> reporter: in 1990, they asked for donations to help a family from el salvador who had nothing to outfit an apartment. >> people responded extremely generously, and we could have furnished three or more apartments. >> 25 years later, people have 140 towns come here to get the things they need to make a home. >> a lot of them are veterans, refugees. a lot of it is the homeless

people. >> they have one thing in common. >> need and not the means to meet the need. >> reporter: after living in a shelter for a year, chuck farrel found this revere apartment. >> the place was empty. >> not for long because wees referred to household goods. >> house cold goods was able to set me up with pretty much everything you see here. i don't know anybody else who does what household goods does. >> that's wonderful. that's 25 years. it's so great for the elderly that have a place to go. >> he's elderly.
