live from the channel 4 studios in boston. now. we begin with breaking news. police now searching for a man who groped and 11-year-old girl. >> katie brace is live with the details. >> reporter: lisa, people who know this girl tell me that she is still terrified tonight. she was walking along here to the bus stop when she says a man grabbed her backside. now, she was able to get a good description of him and call for help. it was not in the darkness of night, but nine in the morning on the way to the school bus stop that and 11-year-old says a man grabbed her from behind.

>> she seems extremely intelligent and she just let other people know about it, which was smart, because not too many kids would say anything about it. >> the girl turned around, the man apologized and walked away. >> they say there's no way the man thought the girl was older than a child. >> it's concerning for your children because now you're concerned that something is going to happen. >> reporter: parents are concerned not only is the man not still out there, but he went after the girl when people were around. >> to come out here when they're going to school and do something like that it's scary. >> i can't say what i want to say on camera, but i really hope they find the guy. >> reporter: and the girl says

light skinned about 5'7" to 5'8". we have more breaking news a gymnastics coach is accused of assaulting a child at usa ninja challenge. a spokesperson for the gym believes this centers around him to help a child. parents tell us they are shocked. and beaten the instructor is on leave. beaten posted bail and he is not allowed around children. a man was hit by one car, sent into the other lane and then struck by and suv. both drivers did stop, the accident shut down the road for several hours.

>> i said we have to go. >> sam ran to get the life jackets and told his mother to call for help. >> chuck grabbed his neighbor's kayak. and started thinking -- >> don't die tonight. i saw two heads and then saw the boat was already under. he tried to climb up it and then he would push it down. it was just this bobbing vertical thing. >> reporter: both men were in hypothermia, and shock was setting in chuck loaded one man onto the bow and the other on the stern. >> and i'm like, you're not going to die tonight. >> reporter: somehow, some way they got them out. crews got them to the hospital just in time.

deadly example of what can happen when a truck driver is more interested in his phone than the road. this trucker plowed into self emergency vehicles on an arizona highway killing a police officer while checking his facebook. that's why state and federal cell phone laws are tougher for commercial drivers. a truck takes much longer to stop. now add the delay from a driver looking at a phone and the results can be disastrous. your likelihood of causing a fatality is drastic. >> reporter: some require the drivers to be hands free, no calling, no texting, no nothing. but we clearly saw this driver, phone in hand with his eyes focused on the screen, not the

rig one eye on his phone and his hand on the wheel. >> you can go down the road at any time and look at any semi and they're texting. challenges? >> there are serious challenges. >> reporter: 320 truckers have been cited this year for cell phone violations. that's more than 3,000 of the regular vehicles. it can be tough to prove the truckers are breaking the law, but we all saw the driver of this big rig on his phone when the i-team went out on patrol. >> our driver we have stopped for talking on his cell phone was written on the same day in new york for nexting.
