51 degrees by 3:00. brisk northwest wind all the day long. things have changed a little bit in the forecast models for seven day, we'll have waves of rain. kerry. >> all right, pamela, thank you. top story this morning, two people have been killed after their truck plunges into the charles river. rescue crews worked frantically to pull the man and woman out of the water near the science museum, but it was too late. the victims both 36 years old. investigators are trying to figure out why the driver lost control. >> there are a bunch of people scrambling trying to figure out what to do. >> reporter: a nightmare on the charles, a pickup truck breaking through a guard rail and plunging 40 feet into the river, two people inside, despite rescue attempts by rescuers they both passed away. >> all i heard was a horn going

and i looked over and i see that that piece of bridge over there kind of crumpled by one piece solid into the water and the tse lights as the truck went over. >> reporter: unconfirmed word that a police officer died in to make a rescue. a man and a woman both killed. we found a vehicle flee submerged in water. just through the guard rail, there were two victims, as far as what happen that will be up to the state police to conduct an investigation with witnesses and piece together just what happen. >> reporter: state police will now investigate looking for the reasons why this terrible tragedy happened, a crash that leaves witnesses traumatized. >> why. yeah. it's awful.
