we have breaking news tonight. a pair of boston police officers were heard after being dragged by a car that they stopped for speeding. the car was moving over 70 miles per hour. thank you for joining us. the officers finally got free after the car crashed into another vehicle. katie gray is going to show us what happened. >> reporter: those officers were dragged from that intersection all the way to this tree. we are talking about 100 yards and when you hear the full story, it is remarkable they were not seriously injured. >> reporter: the crumpled suv gives you an idea of how fast they were moving. they were dragged into a black suv. a woman living nearby was scared. moments earlier, police say have pair of officers in an

going about 70 miles per hour. they stopped the vehicle with the driver and passenger inside and police say the driver appeared to try to get out of the car and the officers had to reach an to stop him. >> the officer stopped here and try to stop him. and he was hanging out from the car. >> reporter: they were dragged 100 yards, and the ride only stopped when the vehicle hit another parked suv. the impact pushed it over the sidewalk and into a tree. >> we are fine, we were a little bit scared. >> reporter: the officers and the driver are in the hospital, the passenger in the car is not expect to face any charges. police tell me they had to talk to everyone involved to figure

take a look at the numbers from last week and you see red squares across the board even today, slightly above average today, not like last week where we had 20 degrees above average. so far the mean temperature for the month is 11.5 degrees above normal. we have studied and looked at these warm novembers and they tend to leave two winters without snow. we will have half of the amount of snow in some of those winters and the average is around 44 inches in boston. the most recent was in 2011 and 2012, do you remember that? and the average for november was 5.7 degrees. and there can be exceptions to the rule. we'll have to see. we are very warm so far. the high today was 56 degrees.

still a little bit above the average. 50s across the region, not at all, a beautiful day, and there won't be much when coming around tomorrow. look at that, it stands out in orlando. and we are taking a look where it is humid. we are looking over the tropics and there is a tropical depression that may become a tropical storm kate in the next 24 hours. here is florida with the tropical storm warnings up. it looks like this will curl out to see with wind up to 60 miles per hour. the track goes in like this and out like that. and a little bit of a stretch here, but we are going to get rain from this system down the coast, it will be coming at us but we will have sunshine all day long. we start out near freezing and a little bit below.
