very preaking news at 5:30. a new hampshire mother is facing charges in the overdose death of her teenage daughter. last month, the 1-year-old died mother. >> also, police are telling us body. investigators believe the body washed assure and they are calling the death suspicious. and protesting racism on campus. now, a short fuse. a man arrested for pointing a fake gun at another driver and now we're learning about his violent past. >> investigators say he also punched a customer while working at a mcdonald's. christina hager spoke to the victim in that case. >> reporter: the victim said it looked like a glock pistol. it was a bb gun with the orange

tip painted black. now 20-year-old gary is accused of waving it in a road rage incident that prompted a woman to call 911. >> stated that the driver flashed a gun at her and is following her right now. >> reporter: she stayed on the phone with police as she directed officers to mystic valley avenue where they arrested him only one day after boston police announced a ban on the kind of gun he is accused of flashing. turns out what happened here was not his first brush with the law. he was out on bail on another assault and battery case. and when we spoke with the victim in that incident, he wasn't surprised. >> this kid has a short fees. >> reporter: adam was at the mcdonald's in the boston garden. he says they got into a short argument over his order. the next thing he knew -- shoulder. i looked over like what are you

he said you still want some of those fries? and then he hit me. >> reporter: now he's behind bars. his relatives in court to support him. >> i feel extremely horrible but there's nothing we can do. no, thanksp. >> they need to re-evaluate what to do with him. >> reporter: at least for now, the handcuffs stay on, say this judge. we were talking for a while. >> unfortunately, we want to check in with eric again. the weather will be sweeping through and from the adirondacks, very unusual. seeing the squall line moving closer to home and temperatures are still rising at this hour up through the 50s.

a few on the bourne and sandwich down to new bedford. a few more showers up through lynn and marble head this morning. then the storm becomes wind. tomorrow we'll consistently be gusting 30 miles per hour. the dusty winds will stick around into saturday and slowly die down into sunday. all told, crisp and cool. stuff? you might like the forecast. david? >> i like the warm stuff. revere police say a craigslist ad led to a robbery. the victim answered an ad for a pair of sneakers but when he arrived to meet the seller, someone robbed him at gunpoint. officers arrested one person but he's still searching for a second suspect. police discharged people in connection with a dog theft.

kennel and three days later a tip led officers to the house where they found the yellow lab and two boxers inside and reunited the dogs with the kennel workers. the animals were worth more than $1,000 each. fortunately, they were not injured. tonight, an i-team investigation. homeowners paying for furniture they never got here and all over the country, and they blame a local interior designer. so ryan kath tracked her doth to get answers. >> reporter: from the drapes to the fill lows to the blinds. decorating a home can be overwhelming. >> reporter: we purchased the shares she recommended. >> reporter:: that's why this couple hired amanda, a charlestown consultant who offered affordable furnishings through her web site, home made designs. >> it seems legitimate on the internet. >> reporter: despite paying

into the 50s and a chance for a few showers tomorrow afternoon. mainly focusing on the higher terrain. lower 50s in worcester. the big system which has been causing outages in the great lakes. as it moves northward, the taught treasure gradient will -- that tight pressure gradient will keep it low. by sunday, starting to calm down looking athe 15 to 20 mile- per-hour gusts. we also have a wind advisory in effect for nantucket. this is for late tomorrow morning and into saturday morning. the strongest winds here. as we head into the weekend, high pressure builds in. mid to upper 40s on saturday plus the wind.
