master mind in the deadly attacks but instead of recoiling, isisishin' issued a -- issued a bold claim that they are planning a similar attack in the u.s. the president says we should not put large boots on the ground. secretary of of state john kerry arrived in paris. not evenly the journalists traveling with him could report the visit. today, he'll meet with the french president. more than 500 of holland's own french are fighting for isis in syria. they have been rounding them up and deporting them but have yet to find this man who was part of the attack. his brother expressed shock and condemnation.

also wanted, this bell jam man, potentially the mastermind behind the attacks. some likely help in the attack comes from hackers who plan to disrupt isis. there is a treaty that requires each member state to give security, aid, and assistance to france. the greek defense minister says this is a new situation in europe and that paris was september 11th for europe. chris, back to you. the terror attacks in paris are adding fuel to an immigration debate right here in the united states. massachusetts now joining a list of at least 27 states that want to keep syrian refugees out. nicole jacobs is live with governor baker's reaction. this is a shift for the governor, nicole. >> it is a shift.

issues governor baker says he sees with this is that the federal government has not laid out a very clear and specific plan when it comes to screening and weeding out potential threats. nicole jacobs, wbz this morning. >> nicole, thank you very much. stay with wbz on air and online. we'll bring you the aniest information about the investigation into the paris attacks and response as soon as we get it. a russian official now says a terrorist act brought down the passenger plane that crashed in egypt last month. the head of russia's security service says a home made explosive device blew up that plane. all 224 people on board, most of them russian tourists were killed. this just in, russia's security service is offering a $50 million reward for information about who is responsible. it is 6:06 right now. a health crisis for a fung patriot and its family.

his 4-month-old son has cancer. susie steimle is live outside of boston children's hospital with solder's message and the outpouring of support. this is just a sweet little boy. >> reporter: he is so adorable, which makes it that much more devastating to think about what he's going through. nate solder made the announcement at joe andruzzi's annual gala, which is a foundation that supports cancer patients and their families from tweets that we saw. there was not a dry eye in the building when he made this announcement. this is his son hudson who's only a couple of months old, born in july. he is the one who has been diagnosed with a tumor on his kidney that happened about a month ago. you can excuse some of the noise out here. we're outside of the hospital and they are getting their day started.

if you can hear me, his shirt says "tough like my dad." his dad is a cancer survivor. nate was diagnosed with testicular cancer in 2014. we talked to him in april about his struggle with that diagnosis. >> the top questions are like, um, can i have kids? testosterone? it's nothing to be afraid of, just something to be aware of. >> reporter: people supporting nate soldier and his son hudson are tweeting hashtag #hudson strong. the companies to keep operating in the state. the attorney general there says the companies are running illegal gambling sites and emergency hearing is set for next week. it's 6:09 on your tuesday morning. emotional testimony is expected in court today. colleen ritzer's family will take the stand. during opening statements, richard's parents cried as prosecutors detailed how chism stalked and killed her. his attorneys claim he had an undiagnosed psychotic disorder. >> i asked him if he knew where the girl was. >> what did he tell you? >> he stated she was buried in the woodsp. >> what did you ask him next? >> i asked if we could get to him could we help her. >> what did he tell you? >> he said no. >> he's now 16 years old and being tried as an adult.

this morning, we've learned 30 fbi agents are working to track down the thief who stole high-powered weapon from pay worcester armory. take a look at surveillance video at the scene. this was taken -- it took the thief, rather, five hours to load 60 weapons in a car. the fbi has a partial license plate number and they are hoping nearby surveillance cameras can give more clues into the driver. >> we're especially concerned about it separate and apart from anything that has to do with terrorism. i'm just concerned that really high-powered weapons can be stolen from the military facility in the first place. >> the city manager tells wbz police will step up patrols in key areas of the city. we've also learned that the alarm system was disabled at the time due to construction going on. coming up on wbz this morning, police increasing patrols outside of boston schools. >> the extra steps after an incident involving a staff member.

better on the expressway northbound right now. let's pop up the map. we have problems down in dedham 128 northbound between 109 and 135. construction crews have closed two lanes there. the two right lanes are blocked. the backup is to e street. route 3 we have a disabled car block thing the left lane at union street. today, the new hampshire attorney general is expected to release new information about four bodies never identified. a hunter found two of the bodies in a metal drum in allentown in 1985. the other bodies with are discovered 15 years late. the remain belong to three girls and a woman. the fbi and law enforcement agencies will take part in the day's news conference. police are increasing patrols in dorchester after a school employee was the victim of an attempted robbery. the staff member was not hurt. officers will be outside of the school during arrival and

dismissal to make sure students and staff stay safe. there's been a big saturday he diet bait. finally choosing which standardized tests to go with. >> here's bree with a closer look at the choices. >> at 8:30 this morning in malden, the board of education will make a decision on how kids are tested. standardized testing is a contentious issue. one of the three options they are considering has sparked protests when implemented in other parts of the country. it's called the p.a.r.k. test. it's administered on computers and could cost $15 million for massachusetts to implement. option 2 is to keep the mcas in tact. that's been a graduation requirement as soon as 2003. recently developed mcas 2.0 has been developed by local

as i wrote this, 16 governors had called on the feds to back off their plan to accept thousands of refugees from the syrian civil war in the wake of reports that one or more of the paris murderers may have been part of that migration and the skeptics aren't the only ones playing familiar roles. at least one newspaper editorial i saw suggested the demand for clarity on the refugee screening process to avoid letting in any bad guys republican "grandstanding. "that theory held up for a matter of minutes until democratic governor maggie hassan of new hampshire took the same position. while there's no question many, if not all of these governors are responding as much to the immediate public reaction and its political implications as to the facts about who the refugees are, it's also true that government vetting is an imperfect science. tamerlan tsarnaev was given a

family as well as a lot of fans out there this morning. >> reporter: yeah, come. their way. we hope that that offers solace during a really difficult time. unfortunately, this isn't the first time, either. we know nate solder is no stranger to cancer. he was diagnosed himself with testicular cancer in 2014. now it is his infant son who's been diagnosed. nate solder posted this picture online of his adorable son after he announced the news last night. that's when the hashtag #hudson strong started circulating. it's still circulating as people show support for his family. he made the announcement at the andruzzi annual gala. joe andruzzi is a cancer survivor and created a foundation to offer support to cancer patients and their families. they say there was not a dry eye in the audience when solder made this announcement about
