. new at 5:30, new developments in the paris terror investigation. police say they stopped another attack and just in time. >> two people are dead and others are in custody, 8 others after the police raid. they're going after the mastermindof the attacks. >> it's not clear if that mastermind was killed in those raids, they have to study dna from body parts at that scene to get an answer to that question. >> here's what happened, authorities say they picked up phone conversations that indicated ringleader abdelhamid abaaoud might be inside in the apartment in the paris suburb, they raided that building and encount erred intense resistce. a woman blew herself as authorities arrived.

an hour long gun fight were pursued by police and officials detained 8 people and two more are dead. the two men have been on the run from authorities, abdeslam were not captured in the raid, but they're among the dead there. no law enforcement and civilians were killed. a police dog did die, her name was diesel. a terror cell was planning an imminent operation and was heavily armed as they arrived. we'll keep you posted on whether those suspects are among the dead. >> thank you william. we have this breaking news locally. a murder investigation in halifax, a man is in custody accused of stabng and killing a woman. beth, the way police found out about this crime is just bizarre, we have beth germano. >> it comes from what they say is a teenage friend. it was a violent struggle

between the resident and a prostitute. he admitted to her murder after her body was discovered inside. all over payment and services. >> prosecutors say it was a 16- year-old female friend who led police to the halifax apartment of 32-year-old after she says she made a horrifying admission. >> the defendant made statements to her about things needing to clean up blood in the apartment and having a body in his apartment. >> that body was discovered by police in a closet wrapped in a tablecloth. after they say he claimed the blood was an illegal tatoo business he had ran. he hooked up with a prostitute from revere and when ey argued how much money he was owed. he grabbed her in a bear hug and they struggled. >> the fight pursued in a kitchen area where he had a night.

tonight won't be as cold as last night. lots of 60s and # 0s to our west. tomorrow morning, those temperatures will spike, it will be a small window. it's 32 in manchester and hyannis 39, none of the 20s or teens we saw last night. as we head to tomorrow morning, the clouds will be thickening up, a little sunshine will be left over along the coast and the cape. we pick up more showers and the rain increases for tomorrow night. some of the steddies rain will be working its way and approaching worcester. the clouds will thicken out tonight and tomorrow morning. we could rule out a couple of spotty showers tomorrow afternoon. the steadiest band, it's a thin band will be moving its way in for the evening. most of our rainfall is overnight into early on friday morning, then that band will be
