searching for answers in a strange case a woman heads to court accused of kidnapping and assaulting a child she baby sat. >> some of those high powered weapons stolen from an armory turn up in a advantage spot >> and could there be a few snowflakes and the all important holiday forecast >> and the patriots have to overcome injury when they welcome the bills in a monday night match up. >> live from the channel 4 studios in boston. wbz news at 11 starts now. we start with developing news a young woman faces a judge tomorrow in a strange kidnapping case involving a child. abigail hannah used to baby sit for the 2-year-old.

that child was found on the side of the road saturday naked and with her head shaved. we are live in hamilton at scene of that kidnapping. >> reporter: some good news to report. the 2-year-old was released from boston children's hospital earlier today. there are still a lot of unanswered questions around this case. police are saying that they believe the former babysitter kidnapped the girl from her home. wbz is not showing the girl's photograph or using her name because of the sensitivity of the case. abigail hannah the 21-year-old who kidnapped a girl she used to baby sit. she previously attended gordon college. officers say that she broke into the family home early friday morning and took the 2- year-old. when the child's parents woke up they realized she was gone and called police. >> driving by and i just saw the child sitting there in the leaves.

>> reporter: the girl was found hours later eight miles away on the side of the road in raleigh. tom crosby and his wife found her. >> i tried not to -- [inaudible] i approached her slowly. i just noticed she was cold and and -- [inaudible]. >> reporter: she was naked, her head shaved and had a gash on her head. investigators are revealing little about the case. only saying the child was targeted and other parents shouldn't be concerned. officers arrested hannah the day arrest crime. and hannah faces kidnapping and assault and battery charges. she goes before a judge tomorrow. she is being held without bail. reporting live. new, two girls are recovering after they were hit by a car while crossing main street a 16-year-old suffered head injuries after the impact

sent her flying a 9-year-old as badly. the driver did stop and was questioned by police. and new developments in the theft of those high powered weapons the army reserve center a homeless man in new york found some of them in a park near yankee stadium. jim smith has the latest. >> reporter: this all started just about a week ago here at this united states army reserve center. now eight days later a suspect is under arrest and at least some of the weapons have been recovered. of course. >> reporter: the governor is not the only one. the theft of 16 military weapons from this united states army reserve center comes at a time when national security concerns are at a high point. now comes word that three of the weapons have been found. police say that a homeless man looking for bottles in this

one that looks like this and two pistols, similar to this. james morales a former reservist was arrested on long island last week but it's not clear where the rest of the weapons are. >> apart from anything with terrorism. i'm concerned that they were stolen from a military facility in the first place. >> reporter: the fbi said that cameras captured more wills at a reserve center when he broke in through a kitchen window. assault rifles and ten pistols. >> no indication or link to terrorism at that point. >> reporter: the motive may be revealed when he comes back to massachusetts to face charges a it. >> he is a really nice guy. he seems like he cares for his family. he seems like -- i don't know. he doesn't seem like a bad game i find it hard to believe he did this. >> reporter: he was reportedly

the next step in all of this jim smith. >> thank you. a wet and raw night around the city. umbrellas were out in harvard square. some locations could seen some snow overnight. look at forecast. >> not to worry. there won't be a big storm but there could be a few flakes and will be some ice as we are getting much of that right now. in many communities on the back edge of this precipitation. the cold air is rushing in and just enough to cause the ice pellets to fall. we are hearing that on social media. don't be surprised to some of them hitting your windows. that's how it'll be. we will see some of the elements of heavier precipitation from bridgewater and quincy up into boston. to the west it's tapering off. we can see more east 6 north redding, heavier there. heavier rain coming down. probably ice pellets mixed in

that's how it looks and it's turning much colder. it's falling in the lower 30s in western pass mass. not cold enough to make any snow here but it'll be cold for the bus stop in the morning. many areas 30 and in the afternoon up to the upper 30s so it'll be a cold date. you will need that heavy coat. norton police investigating a shooting in a home that left a man dead. officers were called to a home for a disturbance a man in that home fired shots a first floor window at them. officers returned that fire. bullet holes are advisable on of the home. >> i didn't think that it was going to escalate to that. it's surprising. for it. it's surprising that something like that would happen in a >> this >> a s.w.a.t team determined that the man was dead.

an inch and a half of rain in cape cod. the tony brook elementary schools had 1.15. as this pushes eastward there could be a few ice pellets, maybe some snow. in areas close to the coast but it's moving along. zipping on out. not to concerned about any big surprise as you wake up tomorrow morning. it'll be really cold as it's all cleared up but over southeast massachusetts. won't take long to clear up there. 41 in boston but in the 30s as you go out and 20s beyond that. all in the 20s really cold stuff. morning. low to middle 30s boston south to cape cod. it'll be a cold start to the day and warming up to near 40. mid to upper 30s. low 40s in the cape. cold, below average day coming up and colder for the patriots game. 32 at kickoff and down to fourth quarter.

we are looking at bright cold night tomorrow night and then patches of clouds may come in during tuesday with temperatures in the lower 40s. another chilly day. could be a few snowflakes but no big deal. very weak system from the west. if you are traveling traveling week you have beautiful weather monday into tuesday. out in the midwest, out in the plain states, some severe weather likely on thursday with snow in the rockies that turns very cold here. much of the eastern half of the nation will be on the warm side and that includes new england and will be up around 58 on thanksgiving afternoon. cold in the morning for all the road races going on, kind of cold for the important football games but about 58. plenty of bright sun as it warms up nicely. here is my seven day. about 42 with clouds, mix of sun on tuesday. probably cloudy on wednesday and then jump into 58 a stream of fab fridays. it'll be 64 on friday.
