4:30 great to have you with us. i'm catherine houser. >> i'm chris mckinon. we are rolling right towards the holiday. there was a sander in front of me on the way in. >> it's a little chilly and a couple slick spots to end counter. temperatures in boston 39 degrees and wind out of the northwest at 9 miles per hour so dry allege up but you may encounter wet roads. it's windy out there as well. gusts from concord to worcester but the cape is where we are really seeing those wind gusts closer to 40 on nantucket. so quick clearing is going to be coming in but there are a couple of showers from the south shore to the cape down to plymouth to prove everyone down around the cape light rain and

most of us in the 30s coolest around 40 in the cape and chilly today. as the sun breaks out we drop a few more degrees. clouds were depart. look at that, only 39 for lunch time and top out around 40 this afternoon. clear and cold, 34 degrees. no weather related issues for your ride home. it's a big week about the thanksgiving and travel forecast. i'll have the details in a few minutes. danielle thank you very much. breaking news in worcester county. 30 cats and 12 dogs died in this. the fire broke out on pleasant street. by the time firefighters got there it was difficult to fight this fire. they were able to save five dogs. all of the firefighters are okay. the building is a total loss.

developing story a babysitter accused of a case involving a toddler she used to care for. police haven't learned more. >> we are expecting to hear more before she faces the judge this morning. katie brace takes a look at what we do know. >> hannah lives in tough field and previously attended nearby gordon college. the former babysitter broke into the family's south hamilton home early friday morning and took the two-year- old. when the child's parents woke and called police. >> driving by and i see the leaves. >> the girl was found eight miles away on the side of the todd called police. >> i tried not to startle her. i approached her slowly you

she was cold and so i went over to her. >> they say she was neighboringed her head shaved and she had a gash on her head. investigators are reveal allege little saying the child was targeted and other parents should not be concerned. officers arrested hannah the day after the crime. hannah faces several charges including kidnapping and assault and battery. she goes to the judge for her arraignment. wbz this morning. police are searching for the man seen in this surveillance video trying to hold up a liquor store. the robber said give me your money or i'll give you aids. the would be robber then took off. a beverley woman who was strangled by her estranged husband has died. now the charges are upgraded to murder. the 45-year-old confessed to attacking her inside her home

on penny lane on monday. he choked her with the strings from her sweatshirt. schools and subways closed over concern over an eminent attack. bree has the details. >> belgium is operating on the highest terror alert in the capital for a third straight day. they are not found the paris fugitive. they have not found firearms or explosives. 15 people have been arrested including one person who tried to ram a police car in a bet away. the subway as well as schools and universities in brussels are shut down today in an attempt to prevent an eminent threat. french police say the paris attacks were planned in belgium. a number of protective health

a formal complaint is filed the same day attackers could use chemical weapons. the busy holiday travel season has law enforcement rechecking the protection of americans. 46million people were travel and see extra patrol dogs officers and guns in the airports in the country. homeland security jay johnson says his agency is ready for everything. >> i always hesitate to rank threats but the potential copy cat, the lone wolf factor is one that we are continually focused on. >> the department of homeland security emphasizes there are no credible threats anywhere in the u.s. and uk prime minister david cameron is requesting approval to join air strikes on syria. we continue to monitor that

throughout the morning. chris back to you. >> thank you very much. today the man accused killing his math teacher is back in court. prosecutors gave a surveillance video a recycling bin to transport the body of colleen to the woods behind the high school. he was 14 at the time of the murder but is being tried as an adult. two girls from rockton are recovering after being hit by a car crossing main street. a 16-year-old girl suffered head injuries after the impact sent her flying. a nine-year-old was also hurt but not seriously. police. three of the 16 weapons stolen from an army reserve center stolen from worcester have been found. an army reservist is accused of stealing those weapons and will face charmings today. jim smith has the story. >> sure i'm concerned. of course i am.

>> governor baker is not the only one worried. the theft of 16 military weapons comes at a time when national security concerns are at a high point. now comes word that three of recovered. a homeless man looking for bottles in this bronx new york park found the guns in a bag. one had four rifles and two six one. a former reservist with ties to new york was arrested on long island last week but it's unclear where the rest of the weapons are. >> i was concerned about really high caliber weapons stolen from a military facility in the first place. >> cameras captured him breaking through a kitchen window with a power saw and pry bar getting away with 10 pistols and a half dozen assault rifles. >> there's no indication of

through today, tuesday as well. there's an area of low pressure that fizzles out over head so there may be a couple clouds for tuesday. big area of high pressure builds in for wednesday and thanksgiving which is great news for traveling you may have to do here right on through the middle part of the week and a bit of a warming trend in the 50s by thanksgiving day. low 60s to end the week turning cooler by the weekend a couple early showers on saturday. >> danielle thank you very much. it's 4: 49 right now. a sharon teen killed in israel has been laid to rest. 18-year-old ezra schwartz was killed by a terrorist during an attack in the west bank. hundreds packed the temple with hundreds more outside in the rain paying respects to a young man who gave his life to help others and deepen his faith. >> he had his own life ahead of him and they stole his life from him. they took it away.

welcome back. 4: 53 right now following breaking news out of worcester county. a fire tires through an animal shelter. sadly 30 cats and at least 12 dogs died.

dogs but it broke out around on pleasant street. by the time firefighters got fight. all of the firefighters are okay but the building is a total loss. a former baseball sitter is due in court. abigail hannah is charges with kidnapping and assaulting a two- year-old girl she used to care for. the toddler was found on the side of the road neighboringed with her--naked with her head shaved. we are expected to learn more when she appears in court today. a shooting in a home that left a man dead. officers were called for a disturbance at the home. a man inside shot from a first floor window. officers returned fire. bullet holes are visible on the outside of the home. a neighbor watched the whole thing from his window. >> i didn't honestly think it was going to escalate to that. it's surprising. that's really the best word for it.

surprising that something like that would happen in a quiet neighborhood like this. >> a swat team sent a robot inside and determined the man was dead. not clear if he was killed by police or took his own life. a show of force from new york city police holding the first ever active shooter drill in the city's subway system. the drills were planned prior to the attacks in paris. they simulated an active shooter. the f.b.i. were part in it. homeland security tested out new technology during the drill. there's no specific threat in new york or anywhere else in the country. one of the families celebrate thanksgiving. carlos and his wife handed out turkeys yesterday. he's known for carrying marathon survivor jeff bowman to safety after he was injured. it's important to give back to
