good morning it is 6:00 a.m. great to have you here with us on monday. >> it is monday november 23 rolling ahead towards thanksgiving and this morning it was pretty chilly out there. >> if you think it's cold this morning you guys tomorrow morning you are in for a bit of a shock because we are going to be in the 20s across the region. currently 38 degrees in boston colder north and west. 20s in keen, 31 in worcester near 40. strongest from p town back around to nantucket over 20 miles per hour gusts in boston so there's a chill in the air. that clearing line inside of 495 will continue to shift east. rain overnight so wet roadways still particularly in the southeast part of the state so sunrise coming up at 6:44 this morning a chilly breeze 39 by lunch time so what you see is what you get. it's going feel like around 30.

34 degrees sunset at 4: 16. thanksgiving. coming up let's get you out. >> hi danielle keeping an eye on the crash north of boston and slow downs to the south. the accident in chums ford seeing a stop and go back up to route 3 south already sluggish road. to the south the stressway between furnace brooke and columbia road 128 south slow and route 3 from rockland to the split. chris and catherine. >> thank you very much. we begin with breaking news in worcester county a fire at an animal shelter impacting 30 cats and 12 dogs. the fire broke out at the sweet pea shelter on pleasant street overnight. by the time firefighters got there it was a difficult fire save five dogs. >> we were very fortunate to save just those if you looked

engulfed when we got here so we didn't think we were going to save any of the animals so that was our first goal to do that. dogs. two of them are in critical condition. the building was a total loss. a babysitter due in court in a bizarre kidnapping case involving a toddler she used to care for. police have not revealed much about the case. nicole jacobs is live with more on what we know. good morning nicole. >> good morning to you catherine we are hearing from the family for the first time

her parents slept. hannah was once the child's babysitter and eight miles away in rowlly the little girl was discovered by tom and his wife. >> i tried not to startle her. i approached her slowly you know and i just noticed that she was cold and so i went over to her. >> naked with her head shaved they say hannah who attended gordon college and according to police targeted the little girl facing a judge charged with an unthinkable crime. >> and i can tell you hannah is expected to be arraigned today. she is charged with kidnapping, breaking and entering as well as assault and battery. live in hamilton nicole jacobs wbz this morning. >> thank you very much for the update. right now police are searching for the man in this security video trying to hold up a liquor store. police say the robber said give

me the money or i'll give you aids while pointing an object at the clerk but when the clerk pulled out a baseball bat the robber took off. a beverley woman who was strangled by her estranged husband has died and the charges are upgraded to murder. the 45-year-old confessed to attacking her inside her home on penny lane last monday. she choked her with the strings of her sweatshirt. he is already being held without bail. belgium on lock down this morning. schools and subways closed over person an eminent attack concern there. bree is live with the details. good morning bree. >> belgium is operating on it's highest terror alert in the capital for the third straight day. they have not found the paris fugitive. they have not found any explosives or firearms either in these raids. belgium police arrested 16 people across the country including one person who tried

to ram a police car in an attempted get away. the subway as well as schools and universities in brussels are shut down today in an attempt to prevent what eminent threat. french police say the terrorist belgium. public hospital authorities say a number of protective health out fits are missing. a formal complaint was filed the same day the french prime minister says the attackers could use chemical weapons. they are redoubling efforts to protect the american public. 46million will travel in the united states this week and see extra officers patrol dogs and guns in every airport train station and tourist destination in the country. homeland security secretary jay johnson says his agency is ready for anything. >> i always hesitate to rank threats.

34-year-old james morales is facing charges in the case. he was known to them facing charges for child rape. police do not believe this is connected to terrorism. >> apart from anything that has to do with terrorism i'm concerned about the fact really high caliber weapons were stolen from a military facility in the first place. >> police are nolte sure where other guns are. morales was arrested on long island last week and could be in court today. the pats taking on the bills tonight but there will be extra security in place at gillette stadium. fans arriving for the game must have clear nfl approved bag to get into the stadium. any non compliant bags will have to be returned to your car and the policy also applies if you take the commuter rail in response to the paris attacks. as for the game the pats are still undefeated but a lot has changed since the two teams met back in week two. >> several key players have

this afternoon. 38 in boston upper 30s in chatham 28 in and colder air coming in as dryer air gusts over 20 miles per hour. boston and worcester 30 miles per hour in gusts over 30 for a lot of the cape and the wind will continue over the next this afternoon. quick clearing coming in. look at that clearing line inside of 495 and 128 continuing to shift east so we are in for mostly sunny skies. high temperatures today pretty much what you see is what you get so only in the upper 30s to low 40s and when you factor in the wind on top of that it's going to feel ten degrees colder. kick off forecast for the pats. chilly breeze, clear skies 31 degrees dipping into the upper 20s by the end of the game. the winds will subside just a bit 5 to 15 miles per hour. not as strong as it is this morning and most of us drop back into 209s overnight tonight with clear skies.

it is 6:23 on monday morning. massachusetts will honor it's bravest with the annual firefighter of the year awards. the award ceremony will be held on the campus of mit and firefighters will be on it there. two boston firefighters hurt while battling a hyde park fire. our home from the hospital this morning. five people who lived inside were also hospitalized.

>> this morning we are hearing from the two-year-old's parents for the first time. nicole jacobs has the latest. good morning. >> good morning to you chris. the details of this case are unimaginable. a two-year-old little girl discarded on the side of the road. we'll get you to a picture of the woman responsible for that 21-year-old abigail hannah the toddler's former babysitter and also broke into that little girl's home took her while her parents were asleep. she was found by a passer-by naked with her head shaved and we are hearing from that little girl's family for the first time. they released a statement that reads we have suffered a horrific ordeal. we are grateful to have our daughter back. we are extremely thankful for the incredible efforts to rescue our daughter by the police and all emergency responders. we are extremely grateful to the kind couple who found our daughter. we are extremely thankful for

in other news northon police are investigating a man dead. officers were called saturday night for a disturbance at the home. a man inside fired shots from the first floor window. officers returned fire. bullet holes are visible on the outside of the home. a neighbor watched the entire thing unfold from his window. >> i didn't honestly think it was really going to escalate to it's surprising. it. like that would happen in a quiet neighborhood like this. >> a swat team sent a robot inside and determined the man was dead. it's not clear if he was killed by police or took his own life. today the denver student accused of killing his math teacher is expect made court. on friday prosecutors presented surveillance video that shows phillip using a recycling bin to move the body of his teacher.
