>> the guys played hard and i have all the respects in the world for our team. >> this point of the results. let's get back to work this week in philadelphia. >> what can you tell us about rob gronkowski. >> no updates. i don't have an update. >> we talked about it a number of time. >> yeah, you should talk to him. talk to the league. i am sure they have all the answers on that so talk to them. >> that's as close as that call
12:31 am
>> [ indiscernible audio ] >> i don't know, we'll work on that this week. >> bill, for me, rob going down emotions?
12:32 am
>> look, i am not going to talk about the play. >>. >> they competed all the way. they fought hard all of them. >> were there any confusion sns s? >> about what? >> yeah.
12:33 am
therewere a lot of plays. it is a competitive game, both teams played har. hard.
12:34 am
>> how hard is it to regroup after a game like this? >> look, we played 16 games. there is a challenge every
12:35 am
>> we have played a lot worse. it was not a peft day, i would not say it. we have played a lot worse on that. >> anymore questions, guys? >> bill belichick, he
12:36 am
>> this game was going back and forth and listen man, everything you want of the classic game in november. you have guys going outline on both sides of the football. unfortunately, you know, it goes in overtime and they win the game. other than that, it is everything you can ask for in a football game. >> coming bark, we'll have more reaction and we'll hear guy in in the locker room. and our poll question, losing gronk, can the pats survive, yes or no, give us your answer.

it's the bacon experience you've been waiting for. bacon up. america runs on dunkin'. bill loss the 5 and 6 and the dolphins lost there at the bottom of the division. the only one that got it is gary kubiak.
12:40 am
will go with osweiler instead of peyton manning. >> that is another three weeks. yeah, he looks great. >> osweiler flat out open the game for the denver, broncos. >> it is a completely different team. let's listen into kubiak after the game. >> excited for r the football team. played hard and everybody pitched in and never gave up on the situation. we found a way to get it done. >> >> proud of them, guys. >> gary, after your drive and new england came back, was there any time for you to get brock. that was a huge momentum. >> we were okay, we were disappointed that we let them go down the field, you know? we got to get off the field of that situation with malik.
12:41 am
she got the clock stopped. we need to do everything we can to keep it bound and make it tup on tough on them. you are playing a great quarterback and a great football team. we did that and came back and played well. >> that's gary kubiak right there. >> what was the first thing you noticed that gronk did not do? >> grab the >>. the knee. when you look at that play, you realize, it does not look like an acl. >> when you blow your acl out, you drop everything. he's in pain but he's not grabbing it. he's going back and forth. i am going to believe the initial report. it is not as bad as we think because if he blows it out, both hands are on his knees and he's holding it. that's the natural response to an issue issue, to an injury like that.
12:42 am
>> it is obviously he's in a lot of pain. >> i think that's part of it. there is a fear of the unknown that gos onto something like this. the pain is a little different. you are e freaking out inside. here is most important thing. you got to get to the bi-week. you got to get through the next five games and you got to get healthy. >> there will be a lot of attention going on the next couple of days. the initial report of gronk and him coming back, that's something we can see a little bit better >> definitely, with dion lewis out. you are like, this is a guy
12:43 am
>> you are freaking out >> was it interesting to hear that brady said that because of the rules, they have no play to take gronk down at. listen, i don't blame them. >> you are not going to get them down by tackling them high. >> more importantly, i see it more often than not now. especially in this game, every time you caught a pass, i was like, there is one guy holding on the pie and another guy comes down and trying to hit it low. >> there is no rules. >> this is his light and i don't see them changing a rule because of this. because that's just football. >> this is what they're going to do to him >> i have to ask you because you played the position. is there any way to protect the tight end. as a quarterback, can you protect them anyway. >> he throws it to the outside. >> i don't know, if he throws
12:44 am
>> now, you are getting a face full of number 54 and a face full of number 31. >> no, it is not a cowardly move. i am going say that. >> that's a smart way to take a guy down like that. >> he's 6' 7" and he's strong as an ox. >> let's listen to brock osweiler for r the young quarterback. >> you know just coming in and understand thag it is ing that it is difficult to beat the patriots. talk about what your mind set is. >> our quarterback coach, we talked last night and one of the last things he said before we finish the meeting was no matter what happens in the first three quarter, it will be a 60 minutes game. thatwas true tonight with a little extra bonus time. there was no panic on the offensive side of the ball.
12:45 am
we kept ongoing out there and doing our job, one story at a time. i think where the credit needs to go is our defense. our defense played lights out and they did a heck of a job holding one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time. they kept offense in the game. we started slow and picking up momentum as a game wins. >> hats off to defense. >> on third down, is that something you could have done two or three years ago even though you have not not started. >> i would like to think that i can change my play in my rookie year. >> the run that we had calls on was no good in the situation. i stuck to the second play.
12:46 am
did a hell of a job. >> brock, you are talking about the overall came back. you came out of 17 yards at the end of the fourth quarter. >> what's going through your mind as far as getting it started and the big picture there. >> the first thing is getting a positive first play. you know we talked about two- minutes drive a lot in our quarterback room and one of those things is getting the positive first play and no negative plays and finding an explosive plays some where in that drive. fortunately, emanuel and dt made two huge plays when we really needed those guys. we are sticking to our rules and we are doing what we are supposed to do. >> brock, just curious of ta early interception of tip off. you get your arms. there is been games against the patriots of an early mistake or two snowballed. how did you compose yourself
12:47 am
>> well, something that my colleagues as coordinator preached over and over again and stuff that you know we hear in denver as well, play the next play. no matter what happens or good or bad, that was the situation where we are early in the game and you are right. turnovers against the patriots. if you lose that turn over battle, you are going lose the football game. >> that was one of those deals where, it was a bad play, you got to put it behind you and you got to move it. >> i spread the ball on quite a bit >> seems like alexander going on two guys on some big first play. what did you see from the patriots defense. >> emanuel just, he has the hot head and sometimes it is all about recognizing bhen when somebody has that hot hand.
12:48 am
you can tell how he was on the sideline, he wanted football. when you have a guy like that who's talented as emanuel is. he's calling the ball and you are going to try to find a way to give him the ball. >> he made it very difficult. >> previously on tape but the thing that i think our offensive group did, we stuck on our rule that is we have been coached to do and we battled through it. it was not always pretty but as long as you are willing to fight and fight throughout it again, you are always hanging in there. >> 21-7, there is not a lot of momentum in the building. >> you got guys pumped up. how much is a role of quarterback to get the team going and get the energy going when it might not be there. >> i don't think it falls under
12:49 am
i think the thing that makes our football team special is there is a lot of leaders. there was a lot of guys communicated in that huddle. >> something i was told when i was younger, you know, the game is not over until it is 0-0 on that clock. >> that's brock osweiler. i am going to ask you point by point. >> he turned 25 on his birthday. >> are we going to see peyton manning again in uniform playing quarterback. >> man, this is what all of us wanted. i am going to say no. >> this is tom brady. you cannot take him out of there. your offense is better. he's got to stay in. maybe you have a little sit down heart to heart with them. it is better if he stays.
12:50 am
let's go to break. first, the polls question, can the patriots survive without rob gronkowski, yes or no? >> if you know the answer, throw it out there. now, you're free to start enjoying the breakfast you love any time you wish. no way. introducing mcdonald's new all day breakfast menu. once, you changed how you ate breakfast. it's time to start
12:51 am
this is your moment.
12:52 am
let me give it to rob gronkowski. >> we were trying to figure out here how to do opi's. first, let's go down to dan, you are in the locker room. >> reporter: yeah, i want to tell you that maybe there is optimism when it comes to gronkowski. he packed his thing and walked out on his own power. he did walk out with the tight end coaches as well. at least he walked out on his own and did not speak to reporters. conscientiously optimistic when it comes to that. >> after this tough loss, we spoke to him a few minutes ago at the pats' locker room.
12:53 am
joined by devon here, and a tough, tough loss. >> how did this one unfold until your eyes, certainly a tough one to lose. >> we fell hard and we'll go watch films too of what we need to do. there will be something that we'll take away like always. >> you suddenly look at it and you guys made a lot of plays and giving them credit to making plays, too. >> i don't know, we just got to keep playing. we cannot worry about that. like we said, we had a lot of opportunities to win it but we did not take advantage of it. it will be tough and you make those plays at the end. >> we hate to see guys go down. the last couple of weeks we suffered with some tough ones so just praying and hoping that
12:54 am
>> there is some hope out there that that's not that serious. you hold for broet for breath for a guy like gronk, right? >> what was it like facing osweiler? >> we got a bunch of tough guys and showed a lot of heart. they really love to compete in and pit a lot into it. i thought osweiler did a good job. i thought he knew coming in, he's not going to try to make mistakes. we had good moments out there. like i said earlier, they made a couple more plays at the end that was really the decided factor of the game. >> you guy is have been a lot of big games. some of these guys, what do you take from these and what kind of lessons do you learn as a team from this one? >> the big game is a lot of
12:55 am
hypes but at the end o f the day, it came to football and executions. you just move on. >> 10-1. you certainly got a lot of things to look forward to. >> what do you think about that? >> we'll have to see. a win that does not see what we are doing. >> how about the guy filling in for hitower >> god is resilient and they stepped up and offense and defense in a kicking game. it has been the same motto. >> god has done a good job with us. >> all right, there you go. that's in the patriots locker room. espn.com. >> you saw gronk, we saw him
12:56 am
walking from the x-ray room to the locker room. what do you think of that story. >> let's take people into the rocker room as well. in intags situations like this, a player gets carded off. in that sense, you can say it is a positive sign. >> gronkowski did not answer questions from reporters. the fact that he was walking, it made it looked like it was not as serious as you would thought. when belichick is going over to him, you are thinking the worse, not only they're loseing game here but they're losing the offensive player. maybe that appears something something serious but perhaps it is not >> let's go through the best
12:57 am
snare joe. scenario. >> can they win the super bowl with out gronkowski. now. thanksgiving day buying time. you can buy some time with rob playoffs. maybe you will get to the first round by and he's there for you in the playoffs. that's what this is all about. they're buying time right now without some of their key guys. that's some of the best case scenarios. >> i think that's unlikely but maybe you will get them back down the road. without them? if it is a worse case scenario? i am not going to count them out if those two are coming back. >> it is still a d-team but no doubt it will be a huge blow. >> that's the latest with mike reese.
12:58 am
