. we begin with breaking news. the patriots nation, a big update on rob gronkowski. we learned more about the tight- end's injury in last night's denver. houser. and thank you for being here. a potential sigh of relief for fans. steve? >> reporter: he was scheduled to have an mri on his right knee this morning in boston. there is no information on that and they sweeted that sources tell him gronk is unlikely to miss more than one game, if that and that looks serious when he went down with under three minutes to go. the play today didn't look bad and tom brady said it was not a dirty play but his reaction is scary. he's in excruciating pain and

police say they recovered hundreds of rounds of ammo, guns and a bulletproof vest and nicole jacobs is live with more. good afternoon, nicole. >> reporter: good afternoon to you, catherine. hearing the police chief say he feared for his life and know going about the weapons is telling. a friend of the suspect in this case, said that this is all one big misunderstanding. 32-year-old dean appearing arrest. surrounding this massive arsenal. >> and locate outside of the -- ammunition. the ar-15 had no safety on and in the chamber. >> reporter: new from court, an open domestic violence case out of wafter that sent authorities hunting for him. >> and kidnapping and assault.

shown in court today as the murder trial resumes. the first video shows phillips- chisolm walking into a gas his high school teacher. a store manager testified that it appeared chaseom was looking for a clock. the jury saw a video of colleen ritzer on the day of hear murder talking with a fellow teacher in -- day of her murder talking with a fellow teacher in the hallway. it was dress like your friend day at school. and a forensic pathologist was on the stand and we'll have more for you tonight on the wbz news at 5. >> and at noon, the first trial in the death of freddy gray is underway. the jury selection began for a baltimore police officer charged in the death of 25-year- old gray. he died in april after being critically injured in the back of a police van. violent riots broke out in baltimore afterward. six police officers are charged in his death. and new at noon, a close

and white house officials say that he will likely have a shot at another difficult chat with russian's vladimir putin about his role in the battle against isis. margaret branon, cbs news, paris. and in afghanistan, the u.s. embassy in kabul said it's received credible reports of an imminent attack the next 48 hours. the embassy issued an emergency warning message for u.s. citizens in kabul. the statement gave no details regarding the possible time, target, or method of the attack; how far, it urged americans in kabul to exercise extreme caution if moving around the city. and in chicago, a shooting threat is canceling classes at today. the fbi said an online threat mentioned the campus quad and a time of 10 a.m. the school is asking all students in campus housing to stay indoors and they're asking 30,000 faculty staff,

students to stay away from campus. the man accused of opening fire is due in court. we're learning in about -- more about the suspect, 57-year-old robert lewis dear. he killed three people and wounded 9 others in a shootout that lasted hours on friday. the police are sealing warrants related to the case, but sources tell cbs news he had several guns and ammunition in addition to a long rifle. a law enforcement source said that when he surrend ored, he said, quote, no more baby parts. one of the victims was police officer garrett swayse, a melrose native. and to campaign 2015, a major endorsement for chris christie. he won over new hampshire's biggest newspaper, the union leader. the paper said that christie is right for the, quote, dangerous times and boston mayor endorsed hillary clinton over the weekend: the former secretary

. welcome back. for the first time in more than a century, a deerhunt is underway of the blue hills reservation. the hunters started lining up this morning about 5. the department of conservation and recreation said the hunt is needed because of the deer population out of control. and protestors plan to return this afternoon to blue hills to protest the hunt and questioned the validity of studies showing the area is overrun with deer. hunts. and providence, rhode island's dancing cop is taking the act elsewhere. the retired officer was not --

flurries and into the cape. most of us were dry and noing fallling from the sky and the area we're watching for rain is into the west and the south. more moisture kicks in and we have widespread showers in the forecast tomorrow and today, dry near hour-by-hour. 5:00 p.m. and some clouds. overnight, mostly clear and that is for a good part of the night allowing for the temperatures tofa all into the low 20s for some and 70 on tuesday. clouds roll back into the forecast. and by noon, we'll track that rain. spotty showers throughout the evening. tuesday evening, night as well and heavier rain expected for tuesday and into wednesday. when it's said and done by wednesday morning from a quarter of an inch to half an inch of rain for most and we'll add another inch of rain or so through wednesday. >> and the seven-day forecast, we have milder air on the way for tuesday and 46, wednesday;
