forecast a quiet stretch that weekend, plus milder temperatures. when we could get close to 60 in that weekend forecast, back to you, ladies. >> all right, thanks so much, pamela. breaking news, right now, two people, including a teenager rescued from a burning home in lynn. right now, firefighters are trying to locate any other possible victims. the fire broke out just before 1:00 a.m. on boo's place, the video you see just incredible, fierce names tearing through that house. once inside, firefighters found two unconscious people, a woman in her 60s and an 18-year-old girl, each woman revived on her way to the hospital, wbz has a crew on the scene, live updates beginning at 5:00 a.m. >> quite a fire there. also new information and new pictures released on the shooting rampage in california, as horrific as this was, it could've been worse.

hunl arse -- huge arsenal of weapons police say farook and his wife had more weapons. >> and the potential of terrorism. farook was in contact on social media with known islamic extremists and at that time fbi has been watching. the arsenal in the couple's home included 6,700 bullets and a dozen pipe bombs, informed one of the 24 wounded is a woman from new hampshire, cbs's chris martinez has the latest from california. >> reporter: remembering the victims killeded in san bernardino, the focus turned to what motivated syed farook and his wife tashfeen malik to execute mass murder. >> we are in so much shock. >> reporter: sara and her husband were related to the suspects killed in the police. >> i cannot imagine my brother or my sister with this, they were happily married, they had a beautiful 6-month-old daughter.

farook travelled to saudi arabia and pakistan last year, and returned with malik, who came to the u.s. on a fiancee visa. while the couple was not on any enforcement officials tell cbs news he had been in contact with people both in the u.s. and terrorism. >> what it adds up to with me, this is a guy who was probably al-qaeda. >> reporter: officials recovered thousands of bullets and a dozen pipe bombs in the couple's home, cbs has learned those devices made from christmas tree lights and radiocontrol toys. >> they were equipped and able to do another attack, we intercepted them before that happened. >> reporter: authorities now searching for the person they say legally bought two military style rifles used in the massacre, chris martinez, cbs news, san bernardino, california.

21 people wounded in the attack is from new hampshire. amanda gaspard was in charge of the holiday party at the center, the woman originally from hin dale was shot, we're hearing from her sister, our julie loncich travelled to her home. >> reporter: amanda grew up here in hinsdale, new hampshire, across the river from vermont, she moved to california three year ago where she was working as a restaurant inspector for the county, also telling me she was in surgery most of the kai, her grandmother says she was shot several times, once in the leg, once in the arm and did have shrapnel in her head, survive. her parents still live here and california. in an interview with the adventist review, diane gaspard, her mother, described what party. she was quote in charge of the meeting that day, in god's mercy

for a short break or there would've been more people in that room. we believe that because of her loving-kindness, the shooter did not kill her. he stood over her and shot her, he could've easily aimed at her head, but shot her in the leg instead. again, fortunately, amanda gaspard is expected to survive, she does have a rough road ahead of her however. in hinsdale, julie loncich, wbz news. and amanda's sister tell us amanda is having a hard time with the pain from the wound and the emotional trauma. but lindsey says, quote, my sister is one of the strongest people i know, and she has incredible faith in god. so we know she will get through this. lindsey also says amanda specifically wanted to thank the first responders, paramedics and police officer who helped her and the victims. the violence in california and in paris impacting how people feel at large events. hundred crowded the boston

many have to live their lives but admit they're more aware of their surroundings, saying the recent violence makes the fear very real again. >> we step back in a large crowd and don't get involved, we're really aware from now on, which is a bit sad, but that's the way our world is turning out to be. >> there was a visible police presence there during the event and no issues. developments are rapidly changing on this story about the california massacre, from the very latest on the investigation, of course, stay with cbs news and wbz both on air and online. and breaking overnight, the fomer frontman for the stone temple pilots and velvet revolver has died, scott weiland was found dead on his tour bus, a message said he passed away in his sleep while on a tour stop in minnesota. he was set to play a show last night with his new band, he was dogged by substance abuse problems throughout his career, though at this point, his cause of death is unclear. he was 48 years old.
