. welcome back, it is ac 22, anyone who is on the front lines of the opioid epidemic will not be surprised, last year more than 47,000 people died of overdoses, that is up 7% from 2013, almost half of those deaths were from prescription pain killers, and a quarter of them from heroin, let's take a closer middle sex county has had more hair run overdoses this year than any other year on record, 131 people die from heroin so far this year, that's up 27% from 2014. only 33 heroin related deaths just two years ago so that is an increase of almost 300% since then.
