a big story it's 5:30, officials say that a veteran red line train conductor made multiple errors to take off without anyone behind the controls. the train passed four different stations before finally coasting to a stop and one time going at least 40 miles per hour. it took passengers on board to kick in the door to the conductor's cab -- cabin to find out it was not manned. >> and gronkowski and edelman were back on the field today. the patriots lost two games with them out. >> and investigators scouring a lake in san bernardino where they believe that the mass shooters may have thrown evidence.

hard drive. 5:30. this is disturbing video from inside a boston uber. the driver said he was attacked customers a ride. and we've seen this a lot. uber drivers attacked for refusing a ride. >> and the passengers, the driver said, were going after him because of his religion. when he told them to get out, he said they attacked him. bill shields has more. bill? >> reporter: it's unclear if this was based on a hate crime or whether or not this was simply a drunk acting out. but regardless, the video is very disturbing. abdul drives for uber because he feels it's safer. early this morning on stewart street, he picked up a group of people, five men and a woman,

good to me, and i like it. but i am concerned, very concerned now. >> reporter: uber has identified the passenger and he will no longer be allowed to outside their platform. as for police, no charges yet. david? >> bill, thank you. developing news out of california. investigators want to know how a medical helicopter crashed 135 miles northwest of l.a. all four people including the patient, pilot, flight nurse, and paramedic died. crews reported heavy rain and fog when the plane went down. a fire in downtown l.a. flames start inside a commercial building after 5:00, firefighters ordered off the roof just before it collapsed. the good news is no one was injured. crews are cleaning up from a damaging tornado in washington state. you can see it clearly with the twister touching down in the city of battle ground outside

and we are all above freezing tonight, 37 to 44, and a few clouds and fog particularly into new hampshire tonight. if you're traveling, you want low beams out there. high temps tomorrow, way up in the 50s and 60 degrees for south eastern massachusetts and cooler across southwest new hampshire, and 53 in joffrey, and the snow is not so much on our minds to start through the weekend. saturday night, this is where clouds will start to increase on us again, and we will have a blanket of clouds moving in from the west, and as we head into the day on sunday, the clouds will lay across southern new england. so it's a rare second half of the weekend, and overtime, we will get areas of showers and spotty drizzle. sowarm air in place on saturday, a back door cool front from the north, and we'll see highs 48 to 55 during sunday, and that will feel cooler especially with the clouds, but the average high is 42 in boston, and we will be way above that mark.

tomorrow and 60 degrees and the clouds filling in on saturday night and staying in the 40s and another night with winter moths which many of you have been commenting on this past few weeks, and next week, spotty clouds and drizzle and temperatures in the low 50s. we will start monday with the cooler air in place. the vast majority of monday, cool and drizzly, and then the warm front will slowly move through so as we head into the overnight hours especially in the evening until midnight, that's when we'll see the high temperatures and we will see the best chance of rain. when you look at the temperature trend, monday's high, 11:59:00 p.m., and friday's high will be in the morning and it will be early on, and then cooler air will start to rush in. here's a look at the full accu- weather 7-day forecast, temps above average through it, and the next storm is another wet one on thursday, and then on friday, the rain will come to an end, and friday will bring in the colder air. so by next weekend, it will feel like winter.
