>> the large caliber black handgun that he was wearing at the store clerk. it was sunday evening at this brewster convenience store, 27- year-old walked in and pulled the gun, in the video he is wearing a distinctive blue cap, this one. brewster police did some digging and found out someone with the same kind of hat had been robbing stores in virginia and maryland. the same guy stole these two massive handguns from a gun store in virginia. brewster police connected the dots back to this brewster convenience store. >> social media component for us we were able to quickly get out some high resolution photos and video and members of our community were brave enough to come forward and give us the information we needed to point in the direction of this individual. >> it was actually a fisherman down here who went on the website, looked at this and
