year a tire mechanic was killed and a customer also badly hurt by this blast. jim smith has the latest from salem. certainly, a very sad and strange story here at the sears auto center in new hampshire. a worker getting killed in a bizarre and terrible accident. >> the entire thing exploded. >> it was early saturday morning when a customer was getting a large tire fixed at the sears auto center at rocking him heart small and suddenly, the tower exploded killing the worker and badly injuring the customer. 911 callers were frantic. >> there are two patients in one is unconscious. how about the second patient. we are in route, by the way. >> i did see him move a little bit. >> a tire. >> what exploded? >> a tire.

all new hampshire. the customer, 23-year-old adam's role was airlifted to boston medical center with a serious head injury. >> it is an industrial tire changer where the tire is mounted on the rim and that seals it into place and inflated at the same time. so the whole tire and rim came up and the victim was leaning over, we think, and that is when it hit him in the head. >> shop closed for the rest of the day and federal investigators are looking into the accident which left workers and police badly shaken. >> especially at this time of year when people have family we will to go home two. it's hard for us to see something like that in such a young kids. >> thoughts and prayers are with both victims and families. sears says they will cooperate with the families as they press on with the investigation. wbz news .

natural gas problem in new hampshire. at least four taken to the hospital for exposure to carbon monoxide. firefighters are still going door-to-door to assist residents. and improper mix of natural gas at the probing plant caused highest -- high co levels. they did correct the mix shortly after the problem was discovered but a lot of homes had an -- homes and businesses had to be evacuated. take to live look at gillette stadium ahead of tomorrow's big game. we are filling some winter like temperatures out there. if you want to feel that, make sure you bundle up when you go out there. the good news is another warm up is heading our way. we are tracking the forecast. >> that pressure is going to be in the 50s again by the time we get to monday. tomorrow is another chilly day and temperatures were right around average but is so much

reckless driving and leaving the scene of an accident. >> right now in gloucester, police are looking for missing woman. susan neilson from rockport may have been walking near rock neck late last night or early this morning. police believe they found some of her personal belongings on a dock and in water nearby. rescuers are out in the water -- near the water. bill cosby lawyers are filing a subpoena. he has filed a suit against seven women who have filed charges on him. his wife is allegedly subpoena because she was her husband's business manager. mrs. cosby is said to have no firsthand knowledge of the assault claims. >> a wbz exclusive. so many of the men and women serving our country are often unable to get home for the holidays. one marine was able to surprise his family thanks to a

police in wisconsin are looking for a gunman who fired shots inside a crowded madison shopping mall. police say several men got into some kind of fight when one of them pulled a gun and shot a 19- year-old in the leg. the victim is expected to recover but was obviously frightened. >> i saw a group of guys gather around and an argument started. more people gathered in the mob.>> i heard three shots and everybody running. and scared and i am scared too. >> police to believe this is an isolated incident and they were able to reopen the mall after investigators concluded their work. also tonight, a high school football player being held a hero after he shielded several girls on a porch when a gunman opened fire. when you gillette has the story.
