rain today scooting out to the east. next round gathering across the south eastern states that will move up the eastern seaboard and arrive here tomorrow afternoon. in the morning, mostly cloudy skies, areas of dense fog and temperatures in the 40s. by midday, still raw. 50 degrees, lots of clouds. patchy drizzle starts to develop. in the afternoon, it breaks out. temperatures start rising. if you have a lot of plans shopping. a few of us may have a few hinges to pick up. weather -- few things to pick up. weather is not that cooperative. take a look hour by hour. heavier rain moving in throughout the evening. throughout the night, downpours. it feels tropical outside. humidity will be rising. rain tapers off for christmas day. we break into really warm air. tomorrow evening, temperatures through the 50s, way above average. on christmas eve, the warm front is north.

we'll get sunshine. if we see enough sun, could see 70s across the area. that has happened before. on christmas day, high pressure will build in. we stay mild. it will be dry before the next round of storms move in this weekend. record high you bet. 68 the forecast temperature on christmas eve. i think we're going to break that at midnight. could be 61 at mid night. we'll be already above the mark. few showers, gusty southwest winds. christmas day is going to be weird. absolutely. going to be comfortable? sure. travel, no issues. upper 50s to around 60. mix of sun and clouds, bizarre day. it comes around to what does this mean for seasonal snowfall? look at top ten warmest can decembers, all of them below average. if you put them together, average snow of 26 inches. another sign we're in for below average year for snow. here's your seven day. few showers saturday. sunday, way up in the 50s. we may set another record high
