black and charred. >> reporter: this new hampshire home went up in flames tuesday night. in it were the christmas presents for their twins in first grade. the pictures, the memories, thankfully the family was not home at the time.>> it was heavy smoke and you couldn't identify anything. >> reporter: it didn't take long for goodwill to unite. the fire department turned to the family. >> it turned into a huge viral thing. our poster reached almost 30,000 people and the outpouring of support is unbelievable. >> reporter: it turned into a steady spring -- a steady stream of presents for the twins and much more. >> thank you so much. is beyond imagination.

stepped up his unbelievable. they are here no matter what. they will come. >> reporter: the stories kept coming today of people wanting to help the family. we heard a neighbor jumped into action, breaking the windows to get the two dogs that also made it out unharmed. thankfully the cause of the -- thankfully. the cause of the fire is still undetermined. a boston police officer is recovering after being hurt while rescuing two men who fell into the water. they say they were intoxicated. ems workers treated them on the scene. reporter carl stevens took this picture. one officer was taken away on a stretcher. his injuries on those are minor. he has been released. for the second time there has been an armed robbery at boston college.

with guns robbed two men near the international language center. the victims handed over their wallets and were not hurt. there was a similar robbery near rogers park on december 6. a woman is facing charges accused of leading police on a chase. cheryl anne kelly it's a man with a bottle. officers say when they arrived at the scene at the gas station she took off. police chased her up route 38 into quincy and that is where they say kelly rammed them with the -- rammed the cruiser. they were able to arrest her. the chipotle that is the center of a norovirus outbreak business. nearly 150 people got sick after eating at the restaurant. we have more now.>> reporter: city inspectors have given the thumbs up to this chipotle to start serving food to customers again as soon as tomorrow.
