days, by the way if you look outside you may see the full cold moon it is full at 6:11, like 99.99% until 6:11 then it hits 100%. the next time we have a full moon on christmas is 2024. thank you very much. we begin with a developing story, reports of a baby thrown into a riverfront in haverh irks lirks l. >> new overnight we learned two people will face charges for this, nichole jacobs with nichole. you, kathryn. that search went on here in the merrimack river for a couple hours, police determined the mother and daughter who reported it made it all up. the call came in around 7:30 yesterday, these women reporting that they saw a man walking here along the cuomo bridge with a baby carriage, they heard the baby crying and saw the man throw the baby over

state and local police, fire and dive teams, crews searched for a couple of hours, interviewed the mother and daughter and determined it to be a hoax. both are charged with misleading police and filing a false police report, they are expected to be arraigned monday. that is the latest from haverhill. more than a hundred people are dead this morning after a gas tanker truck ignited. a crowd was lining to refill their cooking gas cylinders just in time for christmas when that fire broke out. witness said the fire exploded like a bomb and it took hours to put out the flames. a neighborhood on edge after a gunshot puts a prison on lockdown, wbz jim smith has a closer look at the christmas eve chaos in shirley. >> an anxious christmas eve in shirley, police and corrections

neighborhoods and the woods after reports that somebody fired a lot odd site of the prison complex. a man -- a lot outside of the prison complex. a search included k-the units and police helicopter. >> i got home and there were helicopters in the air, there was a breakout they usually will cam us and tell us. we never know what is going on done there. the guards are good, they'll come by and tell us if something is going on. >> state police say all inmates are now accounted for. but the prison complex was put in lockdown. one woman came here to try to visit her brother who is an inmate, but she was told visiting hours were canceled. >> yeah, i just wanted to see him before the holidays. but, guess we can't now. >> what's it like for you, is it nerve wracking, but shots fired outside of the prison. >> yeah, i don't know what is going on. >> state police tell us they do not believe that anybody was actually hit by gun fire, but

still tight here at this prison investigation goes on. this morning. sketch, police are searching for this man, he is wanted for a home invasion in bolton, the victim told police two men forced their way into his camper and robbed him. if you recognize this person, call police. also this morning a 77-year- old woman is alive but recovering from mysterious injuries, she was hit by a car on her way home. church christmas eve. it happened on main street in tewkewbury, the accident though is under investigation. new details this morning on the on going battle over fantasy sports sites, boston based draft kings is suing the state of illinois claiming the state could end up destroying allege ledge moot industry.

northeastern university is looking to expand, the school wants to open a new dorm in roxbury that would house 800 student, the project would include student amenities and services. parishioners packed into the old south church in boston to celebrate christmas eve. the church held three different services yesterday including the traditional midnight service. and last night pope francis urged catholics to return to their values, thousands of people from all over the world attended christmas eve mass at st. peters bus ill i will ka, and st. peters square is packed pope francis' traditional message from the vatican. and again a lot of people coming together all to see him. well hate to admit it, often the news we report is not good news.

christmas eve, we are learning more detail bus it this morning about who police say was behind it, here are your top stories on this friday morning. >> reporter: chris, kathryn, police say this is certainly something they would take seriously until they determined it was a hoax. we are told a mother and her adult daughter actually reported a baby had been tossed from the cuomo bridge into the merrimack river, they say they saw a man walking with a baby carriage, heard the baby crying ands to the baby into the river, they did a thorough search of the river which included state police, local police, dive teams and a chopper. they interviewed that mother and daughter multiple times, three hours later they determine the the two made the entire story up. that mother and daughter are now charged with filing a false police report and of course alluding police in terms of
