6:43 pm
that is crazy warm. you know how warm it has been this entire month and boston hit 50 degrees again today briefly this afternoon just before 4:00. so that makes it again the 20th day hitting 50. just south of mass pike it warmed up to near 60. it was a record high temperature in providence at 61 degrees there. so 20 days at 50 or higher is truly remarkable. so we got the new record here, 20 days and counting, not going to have another one tomorrow. 48 in boston now, but it's still 58 in providence. the cool air is starting to come down from the north, 30 in burlington, cold air ready to plunge in while in roanoke it's 70 degrees. this time the cold air will win out. there's quite a battleground between the very cold air and very warm air. in between we have this boundary setting up. there's lots of severe weather setting up again in parts of the plains states.

6:45 pm
inland and changing briefly to sleet along the coast and going to rain as the mild air comes in from the ocean water to the east. we'll all change over to rain tuesday and that's the way it looks as mostly rain changes over to the north. how much do we get? i'm staying with the same forecast i gaffe you last night. snow and sleet -- gave you last night. snow and sleet, boston measurable snow, 1 to 2 inches, perhaps up to 4 inches near the new hampshire border, more beyond that. obviously a winter weather advisory is up but not a winter storm watch or warning, just anvils. so this is not going to be a major -- an advisory. major storm. the year. here we go. 34 degrees tomorrow and 42, very cold to support the snow first thing tuesday morning. another storm of much less magnitude wednesday evening and question ring in the new year with colder air, but it won't
