a frightening find when police arrested a man near gillette stadium and discover a car full of weapons. a dorchester neighborhood on edge after a woman is sexually assaulted. some very cold air, when it arrives and how long it lasts, my forecast coming up. patriots hope to end the regular season on a winning note. they meet the dolphins tomorrow in miami. . a dangerous find in a connecticut man's car here at gillette stadium.

the man arrested in a parking lot hours before the bruins and canadians played the winter classic. this man has a history of trouble with police. >>reporter: yes he does. now he is in trouble again. it happened across busy route one in this parking lot, gillette stadium workers. police say the suspect began threatening people and that they took a look inside his car. on new year's day, the eyes of the hockey world centered on gillette stadium at the winter classic between the bruins and montreal. just south of the stadium on route one, foxboro police were busy. they were called to an off-site stadium employee parking lots. witnesses telling officers, a man was acting suspiciously. police came upon 40 -year-old matthew brunson of connecticut. at some point decided to search his car. this is what they say they

an electric stun gun, meet cleaver and at least one samurai type sword. foxboro police say they were also called to the best value in math on route when the afternoon in new york -- on new year's eve. they asked brunson to leave and they say brunson may have been living out of his car. brunson not a gillette stadium employee and there is no evidence he was trying to get to the hockey game. he was charged with three counts assault after allegedly making threatening comments to witnesses in the parking lot. police also believe brunson was drunk. he has also been in trouble in connecticut arrested in 2014 after an hours long standoff, barricading himself in his home when police tried to serve an outstanding warrants. fortunately nobody was hurt. tonight brunson still being held by police. he has a court date monday morning. live in foxboro, jim smith wbz

boston police are recommending an officer who they say showed great restraint when a man attacked in yesterday. look at the video. as a man is seen punching the officer in the face of the dock square parking garage. stack of officers eventually took the man into custody while he fought with them and yelled, you are all doomed. a woman at a boston hospital tonight after a fire broke out overnight at a home in oaks plus. a second victim also recovering from fire related injuries. crews called to the home on pennsylvania avenue about 1:30 a.m. for a kitchen fire. damaged. caused the fire. to feel like winter around here and the work week will be even here is the chilly details. be arriving until later tomorrow fairly pleasant coming out for tomorrow. right now 36 in boston, 30s in

assault on new year's day has residents who live near columbia road and annabelle street concert for the safety. >> definitely have to be careful. >> really quiet around here. >> about a year ago -- always quiet to me everybody friendly and everything. >>reporter: boston police are assaulted a woman in the area of this is the intersection. >> cameras all over the place you can see everything. >> makes you want to move outside boston. early friday morning the 29 -year-old female said someone approached her from behind, told her he had a weapon, sexually assaulted her and quickly ran away. >> very sad. >>reporter: fortunately the woman got away but the suspect is still on the list described as a black man about 25 with a goatee, black pants, black jacket and a pink shirt. >> all know. oh no. i don't like that. i really have to be cautious. >>reporter: police warn residents especially females to be extra vigilant.

weight but might be easier to do that indoors at least for the next few days. i resolved to make the weather like the week of christmas which is so great. >> wasn't that nice? hard to imagine that happening now. >> crazy cold. >> the streak continues even though today didn't feel that warm it was still above average again the long streak of above average days is unbroken. so far boston hit 40 this afternoon so that is combined with a minimum temperature this morning a little above average. nowhere near the record set way back in 1890, 66 in boston. currently down to 36 in the city and lower 30s and many other locations. the sky clear in some spots, overcast and others. changeable across the region the way it will be for a while this evening. current temperatures you don't see warm weather across most of the nation. yesterday we showed you 84 in orlando but a little cooler tonight.

looking at for us, dry weather over the next few days. doesn't look like much of anything happening, the good news across a good chunk of the country. especially the middle part of the nation where they are having so much serious river flooding, not getting any additional rain to cause additional problems there but they have enough at least the weather is dry for now. we are watching up stream to see what is happening we have this weather front here on the backside a chunk of chill coming in once this moves across canada it will start diving south east and we will fill it by monday morning. tonight, partly cloudy, changeable sky see lots of stars other places patchy especially west of new england. tomorrow sunny much of the time but times it will be patchy clouds passing by. the most tomorrow across northern and western new england. by late in the day, 5:00, snow showers and snow squall forming in the northern mountains ahead

which will make the difference here and make it cold on monday and tuesday. than on monday morning all dependent upon the wind direction the wind is more west north west. we not get any clouds essentially sunny like most of the region. however a wind shift more north northeasterly will bring low clouds that will form over the ocean as the cold air goes with relatively warm atlantic waters and produces bands of snow some likely will expand across at least cape cod perhaps touch the south shore and possibly outer cape can't rule out the coating to a few inches in a few places localized down there while the rest of the region will see sunshine. there's the ocean effect snow possible on monday especially plymouth county and cape cod the most locations at that time. good for temperatures will be around 42 tomorrow about the same as today a little warmer than we look for high
