conditions were slippy and snowy and icy in the duxbury area because they saw just about 20 cars or over 20 cars slide off road in the area in duxbury and around route 3. we saw pictures on twitter from the fire department and police department and we saw a truck box truck run off the road and a car into a tree as well as a tractor trailer off the road. so very slippery slippery conditions that have made it slow going now for over an hour. once again we are not seeing that snow through the air. we are seeing the slippery conditions on the ground and that dusting of snow meaning that people are traveling at less than 25 miles per hour between norwell and through duxbury and we are going to continue to follow it and always as a precaution go slowly when it's like this. these four people don't have much of a choice. we are live in pen brook louisa moller.

shocking new numbers about the number of overdose deaths here in the state. state police suspecting that 755 people died from heroin last year and 142 of those were just in middlesex couldn'tity hardest hit area of the state. tonight there's new warning about potent and deadly batch of heroin that's made its way into the state. liam martin has the story all new 569. >> reporter: as if every day

now authorities are warning about this, heroin labeled hollywood a drug they called extremely dangerous. >> right now it's killed 5 people within 48 hours and this is as bad as it gets. >> reporter: in a huge bust springfield police seized 9,000 bags of hollywood heroin along with 20,000 in cash. attorney is worried what is left on the streets is coming his way. >> we heard the heroin was moving east and we have heard that it has moved as far east as boston. >> reporter: the warning is out. >> don't use heroin. but aside from that, the loved ones and family and anyone who knows they have a family member or friend using be it canly careful. >> reporter: while the seized hollywood heroin is tested, the working theories it is laced with a synthetic opiate called fent knell. >> operates much more -- fentanyl night shuts down the respiratory system slowing down the pulse and like we say with heroin no quality control. there's no quality control and

parts of the mid-cape seeingflakes of the radar estimating the snow totals and you can see this jackpot area scituate to marshfield is where it start and a few areas getting 2 inches of notal snow. not a major storm system but enough to call treacherous travel and take it oozy tonight. looking at additional coating to 2 inches of snowfall through 8 a.m. tomorrow and that band is going to slowly start to shift more towards the cape and islands through the overnight. hour by hour all the the -- the wind back a little bit and they turn that snow band from the south shore more towards the cape and so your best chance of cape cod and nantucket and martha's vineyard snow is during the overnight and into tomorrow morning. and everywhere north and west of there, skies clearing out and it's about the cold and not -- icy travel. in terms of temperatures right now we are at 30 in hyannis and 25 in plymouth and clearing 10 in keene and springfield at 8

berkshires is in the singldigits. worcester down to 3 and boostar the at 11 and -- and boston at 11. and it's cold where we have more wind. feels like temperature is colder. looking at winds coming out of the north gustiest conditions across eastern massachusetts, but all of us breezy and whiz cold it's about the wind making it more uncomfortable. bundle up if you are have to head out and b8 for air temperature but with the wind at times a subzero feels like temp. feel like the teens as we head towards midday but bright skies and winds die down through tomorrow afternoon. so even though it's cold it will feel more comfortable. going for highs mainly in the mid to upper 20s across the region and a cold day absolutely and unusual, absolutely not. for this time of the year and it's not sticking around. we start warming up each day. so wednesday lots of sunshine and we are near 40. and high pressure is in control and thursday we are well into
