we begin tonight with an i- team investigation. a scandal eddie north shore high school the forrester principal to suddenly resign. wbz has learned he was caught in an online staying. >> the principle is accused of having explicit conversations with whom he thought was a young girl. ryan kath has more. >> reporter: since his mysterious resignation in november, administrators have been tightlipped but this police report sheds more light on why the principle stepped down. district leaders put edwards merrick on leave and by the next week he was off the job.

say it was related to computer. the former principal never responded when wbz tried talking to him and his home. speculate. >> no one knows for sure. what's going on. >> reporter: but a police report reveals edward rozmiarek was nabbed in an online staying caught having explicit conversations with who he thought was a 13-year-old girl. according to the report, he introduced himself as a high school principal but a regular guy any chat room. when asked why police what he was doing it, he allegedly said because it's exciting. despite the behavior, essex county told the -- told us the principle will not face criminal charges. jonathan blodgett said in not charging mr. edward rozmiarek, the das office does not suggest his activity was appropriate. but it does not cross the criminal line. the superintendent describes

this tractor-trailer fire shut down the entire row during the evening rush. once crews put out the flames, lanes slowly reopened. nobody got hurt. new at 11:00, fall from grace. the hottest holiday gift: the hover board. it has been banned from a local college and a doctor says he has seen a lot of adults getting hurt. kate merrill is live in boston with more. >> reporter: emerson college is saying leave those hoverboards at home or they will take them away. they are worried about fire an injury. local doctors say that's a good call. >> when they land, their landing right here on the base of the spine. >> reporter: doctor peter martoni is starting to notice a post holiday trend. >> a hover board accident? was a hover board accident? >> reporter: since christmas,

treated at least six kids after hover board accidents. >> mostly wrist injuries or back injuries from the hover board flying and they are going radically and landing on the floor. >> reporter: but the concern extends beyond injuries. batteries. dozens have caught fire. amazon has stopped selling them but now emerson college is taking it even further and kibbe -- taking them to the board. -- taking -- kicking to the curb . they are worried about fire risk. >> i would rather not have my dorm burned down from a hover board but at the same time they are pretty fun. >> reporter: fun or not, students admit it's a good call and they are on board. >> i think it makes sense why they would choose to be cautious about it rather than letting them go on campus and then having someone get hurt.

who rides one and it's really obnoxious. i don't mind that we are basically getting rid of this. >> reporter: emerson college is not alone. a dozen other colleges have banned them as well as have airlines and the country of australia is considering a ban. tonight, the mother of a little girl whose body washed ashore on deer island is now facing formal charges for helping her boyfriend get rid of the body. she pleaded not guilty. at rachelle bond's court appearance, prosecutors also revealed that bond was with michael mccarthy when he put baby bella's body any duffel bags come awaited it down and threw it in the ocean. she is also charged with larceny for taking money on her daughter's behalf from the state when she knew the girl was dead. bill cosby will not face sexual assault charges in los angeles. two women came forward accusing the comedian of abusing them several years ago when they

areas farther north. now, the bigger storm develops on sunday. this is what we call an inside runner moving off to our west. it brings all sorts of mild air. heavy rainfall and strong winds. maybe even a couple thunderstorms will develop on wednesday. 1- 1.5 inches of total rainfall with this one. it drags in enough warmth that we may set some record highs. to recap the weekend, upper 30s to low 40s with freezing drizzle, if you snowflakes inland. sunday, in the 50s. right now, it looks like especially the first half of the day. here's your seven-day forecast. next week, dry start monday and tuesday. we are watching wednesday. a storm develops near the coastline. there is a chance of snow. but it may miss us.
