timing is the big thing. >> absolutely so this morning it is quiet but the evening commute will be impacted with areas o'6 snow already moving into western new york and pennsylvania, a fast moving clipper system, until then it is a cold start, we're about 15 to 25 degrees colder than this time yesterday, less wind running in the teens for most of the suburbs, 23 in boston with partially clear skies, what you'll notice through the morning especially late morning to midday is that the clouds will increase starts to look and feel a little bit like snow by late afternoon, bursts of rain and snow showers come in just in time for the evening commute. temperatures at the coastline especially should be in the mid to upper 30s, rain when you get south of boston, mix with wet snowflakes but north and west of town that i'm most concerned during the evening commute to get sticking on the roadsreduced visibility. another burst comes through between 8 and 10 p.m.

it is a quick hitting disturbance, most of us end up with a coating more like a sloppy inch in boston and maybe as much as 2 or 3 inches in of town. we'll take you through tend of the week coming up. it has been a bad start. we have a bad situation on 128 and burlington, 128 northbound between route 3 state police say a wrong way driver caused a head on crash there all lanes were shut down for awhile, one lane is open. we can expect heavy delays as police reconstruction team investigates this crash. some traffic was being diverted on route 4 and 225, if you can avoid 128 north in the burlington stretch do so by all means. we are following breaking news out of turkey this morning officials say at least 10 people were killed in an explosion at a popular tourist spot, 15 others were hurt this

district, state run tv says that the blast was likely caused by a suicide bomber, so far authorities have not said what has caused it. we are going to continue to keep tabs and bring you updates throughout the morning. developing this morning a teenager hit by a stray bullet inside his home. police in brockton are still looking for the shooter he was actually standing in his kitchen when he was hit. neighbors say they heard a number of gunshots. >> a number of gunshots this area was littered with bullets the good news is that 17-year- old is expected to be okay. police were trying to find whoever is responsible. >> just after 8:00 monday night a barrage of bullets ritelled this apartment complex. i said, that's gunshots. caught in the crossfire while in his own home a 17-year-

he is expected to be okay but police are investigating. residents are cleaning up the gritty mess left behind. i was sleeping and we got a knock, cops came to the door, wanted to go into my truck to look for the bullet. george has lived in the pine grove drive apartments for 17 years, monday night, he heard 7 or 8 shots. >> glass all shattered, bullet in the backseat. took the bullet. 18 shell casings authorities discovered so far, enough of an announce. >> tomorrow i have to get the window fixed my wife's vehicle has a bullet in her rear passenger side tire. an ongoing investigation to find the trigger men. >> police are still searching for the gunmen in this case certainly anyone with information is urged to give police a call.

incredible video from fall river, a store clerk fighting off a robber armed with a knife by pulling out an even bigger knife. susie is live, police are searching for that suspect this morning. >> that's right, catherine, there hasn't been an arrest in this case, this isn't the first time that the market owner has been held at knife point if you take a look at the video, you can see he does not scare easily. at 9:30 he sprinted into the market in fall river, screamed give me money holding a knife in his hand. even jumped on the counter at one point. none of this scared off the store owner, he asked us not to share his face but had no problems facing this robber in a knife fight the owner swung back to keep the thief at bay, eventually he lost the struggle

with $200 the owner's weapon. the owner wasn't seriously hurt only a couple minor scratches, he is incredibly lucky against. a couple years ago this same owner was attacked at knife point at that point in time he was able to fight off that would-be robber with that same knife you just saw in the video in that case police were able to make a quick arrest hoping the same thing will happen here. thank you very much. frightening story there, thank you for the update. firefighters rescue a father and son from this burning home and dental office. we are learning the younger man is in serious condition. quickly went to four alarms and an elderly dentist met firefighters outside, he was dazed and confused, trying to safe his son trapped on a first floor. a near by gas station owner who

>> to have him be in here and talking to him, for this afternoon for this to happen, you know, not a good feeling. so i just hope that the son is going to be okay. officials say the son was in cardiac arrest when they found him. he and his father went to the hospital as well alls a firefighter who suffered a minor injury. a security breach at the women's hospital. someone hacked into an employee's e-mail account and gained access to the personal information of a thousand patients. that information includes names, birth dates and medical information. the hospital is notifying those patients but insists the hackers did not get health insurance numbers or financial information. the breach also includes the hospital, there is no evidence the information has been misused. a warning for people using dating apps two men were attacked when they thought they

both went to the lobby instead of meeting a woman they were attacked by a man. one victim was stabbed. shows the level of violence these perpetrators are willing to do to somebody. police say both men responded to the same woman's profile a week apart. the stabbing victim is expected to be okay police are urging people to always meet in public places. 5:08 president obama will give his final state of the union address, the white house says this speech will be different. the president will not present a wish list to congress like in yore's past. instead he is likely to preview executive action he'll take this year without congress like he's done on immigration, minimum wage and gun control. a 9-year-old boy from syria will be congressman's guest in the house chamber, he lost his arms in an attack in a refugee camp, three siblings were killed. the boy wrote president obama a letter asking the u.s. to let

country. you can watch the address right here at 9:00 of course stay with us for the wbz news at 11. over to campaign 2016 with three weeks until the iowa caucuses, hillary clinton and bernie sanders are voters in that state. both took part in a voters forum last night. the latest numbers show the two democrat candidates running neck and neck with clinton bernie sanders. but it is a different story in new hampshire where poll numbers show sanders with a small lead over clinton. chelsea clinton will head to new hampshire to campaign on her mother's behalf. the younger clinton will make stops in concord, manchester and portsmouth. donald trump was in new hampshire meeting voters at a town hall in windham. said it would be a quote dream come true. state officials are giving residents a change to weigh in

of snow, snow that's already coming through western new york and pennsylvania right through pittsburgh, detroit minneapolis, indianapolis and chicago this is a fast-moving clipper system that will impact us by later on today. hour by hour, the skies start to look a little gray by midday and early afternoon starts to look and feel like snow. temperatures will come into the upper 30s so there will be rain mixed in particularly right at the coastline back down to the south coast and cape notice by 5 p.m., light just light blue there are deeper blues we got moderate bursts of snow that reduce your visibility number one and impact the roads particularly north and west of boston where we'll be a little bit colder and then in through southern new hampshire. anything that's untreated right around the freezing mark may start to get slick especially towards the tail end of the commute tonight.

address that should add more to the calendar the state of union is never about the state of the union, at least not intentionally, instead it is a spin from the president about how wonderful all of the initiative has been, how much more wonderful they'd be if they hadn't been impeded at every turn. sometimes the president will use the speech to appeal for unity or try to put lipstick on their own partisanship. no one in washington it seems to say, i blew it. the speech's title is especially ironic in the area of multiple camera angles
