katy brace has the story. >> reporter: the police tape is no longer up, but davis will never forget what he saw. >> i didn't want to see it, i stood there. >> reporter: he came up to move his car out. dorchester snow. earlier, a dump truck with a plow attached to the front ran a man over. >> the first thought was i hope he's okay, but you know, he's kind of under a big truck. >> reporter: the truck was going eastbound down dorchester avenue around 11:15. came to a stop at the crosswalk. the detectives spent hours talking to the driver and witnesses. they are still looking into the circumstances surrounding the accident. >> that's why this light is here. >> reporter: davis's stepdaughter was injured years ago just feet away on the same street. he wishes the man was as fortunate. >> i feel bad for the man's family. that's no way for a person to leave this earth. you know? why the like that. >> reporter: now that the man's family will never forget today.

family knows before releasing his name. reporting in dorchester, katy brace, wbz news. over 15 inches, and paul burton shows us how people were coping a day after the storm. >> reporter: sunday was a day of clean up in falmouth, one of the hardest hit areas, blizzard of 2016 packed a punch, leaving hyped 16 inches of snow. >> it's a great deal of snow, definitely. >> extremely heavy. it's weighing down limbs of trees, it's very difficult on the back. >> reporter: plows, snow blowers, and shovelers were out in full force trucks dumping large piles of snow. >> we got up early this morning, and now we're just clearing up some of this snow, we got about 15, 16 inches. we have the work cut out for us. >> just enjoying the snow. so, we're anticipating did, we

the driving ban in the city has been lifted. and flights were canceled up and down the east coast tonight. a look from inside philadelphia's airport. you can see how many stranded passengers there are. more than 8500 flights were canceled today, and yesterday. logan had to cancel about 15% of its flights leaving. snow on the cape made it hard for firefighters to fight this fire. the fire was called in after 11:00. the home is a summer residents, and wasn't occupied, but the building is a total loss. tonight, police hope this surveillance video will help them find a person responsible for break-ins. this is from romero's pizza. cash. about a half dozen businesses were robbed from late friday night to saturday morning. alaska. >> the extent of the damage, and

southern ahas can after an earthquake, the 7.1 mag -- magnitude hit at about 1:30. the quake knocked items off store shelves, and caused a gas leak that led to fires, but no injuries. to campaign 2016, and tonight, a big endorsement for hillary clinton from the boston globe. this is the iowa caucuses that are a week from tomorrow. new hampshire holds the primary over a week after that. jim smith is live in the satellite center with all the developing stories on this. jim? >> reporter: the boston globe says new hampshire democrats should not hesitate to support hillary clinton, but despite that, police clinton is facing a big challenge from bernie sanders. and campaign stop in iowa, clinton appeals for support in a state where polls now show her trailing bernie sanders. >> it is that time when everybody's looking to make up

going to do on caucus night. and i know that you understand the stakes are so high in this election. >> reporter: mrs. clinton did get some good news, an endorsement from the boston globe for the new hampshire primary. it citing her record on gun control, in contrast to bernie sanders, who voted against the brady background check bill. as for sanders, he got some help from young supporters going door to door in iowa. >> he's channeling that anger that people have with current politicians, and i think it really resonates well with younger kids. >> reporter: donald trump was targeting bernie sanders and hillary clinton where polls show him surging. >> i mean here's a guy error's, they say -- he's a socialist, some would say he's a communist. >> reporter: some protestors with a banner saying stop hate were removed this sunday, one

temperatures are in the 30s, 31 in boston, dew point at 10, whipped from -- wind from the northwest at 9. real feel at 23. the storm is long gone, temperatures have fallen into the 20s. taunton, falmouth, that's where you deem with the snow pack, temperatures there for will be slightly colder than they could be. we have clouds right now and a couple flurries trying to sweet out -- squeeze out, creating clouds in massachusetts. but, if we get some clearing skies, then temperatures could fall into the single digits where we have the snow pack. bus stop forecast, chilly. before school, make sure you have the hats, gloves on, the scarf, etcetera, multiple layers. 33 degrees after school, pretty much right around average. average high is 36. hour by hour forecast, temperatures will stay in the
