they tweeted out a report of a shooter in building number 26. cbs los angeles reports three shots were reported outside of that building everyone was advised to run, hide, or fight. anyone who was not emergency personnel is being asked to stay away from the area we'll update as soon as you more information comes into the newsroom. more breaking news, sky high over the scene where there is a major water main break, christina is live with the very latest, what can you tell us. >> a lot of water all around me we're at the intersection of river street you can see chunks of the pavement jetting out of the road and water spewing over it. police on the scene as well as the national grid crew we're told there is a possibility of a gas leak in addition to this

odor of gas, the utility crews driving by and down the road, more water just pulling down. this intersection is closed to traffic. police are telling me they have not evacuated the area, a lot of businesses around here, they are still open but people can't get to them, that's the problem because all of the roads around here are closed. this intersection river street pleasant street, north street, this will be closed and newton police are telling us and police are telling us that they expect north street which leads to here to be closed for the next 4 to 5 hours. crews here are in it for the long haul and the race will be onto try to get this backup and running by the evening rush hour. christina hagueer, wbz news, back to you. thank you for the update.

hospital after a rhode island bus loses control and goes into the building trapping the driver. they think the driver had a medical emergency, he and several passengers went to the hospital for treatment. you have an update on some of those patients. i spoke with a representative a little while ago, she tells me two of the people on the bus are released doing just fine, two others still in the hospital a driver and 22-year-old male both in critical condition with very serious injuries as for the building here you can see it's been closed down, deemed temporarily unsafe. in the daylight, it is worse than it originally seemed. the building a bus crashed into is now condemned two businesses temporarily closed. >> it is unbelievable. ralph owns the building, he

tenants standing inside when the crash happened. >> i said what do you mean the bus banged against the building? building. around 7 p.m. monday a rhode island public transit authority bus crossed four lanes of traffic on post road hit a utility poll and crashed into the driver's seat island paint ball. kind of medical emergency. >> it is amazing that they cross four lanes of traffic on a heavily-traveled thorough fair and no major accidents. >> the mayor talked to the driver on scene before he was taken to the hospital. >> disoriented, obviously explaining where the pain was coming from when i got up into the rescue to see how he was. >> despite the damage it could have been much worse. >> i'd rather him hit the

all buses do have surveillance cameras on them, he is currently looking at that video on that bus from last night to determine first of all exactly what happens and second of all whether they'll release it publicly or not. live in rhode island, wbz news. thank you very much for the update we have more breaking news for you this noon, investigating a suspicious death after a man was hit by a train yesterday. this happened on the tracks at the lincoln street over pass the victim is 74-year-old hector ramos. also boston police just arrested a man they say fired a shot near a hotel in boston, nobody was hurt, the suspected gunman will be in court later on today. and developing this noon, extra equipment coming to help crews get to a fire burning on and off for the past 24 hours at a water treatment plan.

scene what's the latest out there. >> reporter: they brought in a massive crane to help remove concrete. it continues to burn even at this hour. all of this we're told really boils down to the structural make up of the building. one day after an explosion rocked the nut island waste water treatment facility, there is still fireworking. >> part of the issue is the fire inside ductwork. so it is very difficult, they can see it with the heat sensing machine that there is still flames in there. >> 5211 feet under ground says the water resources authority thanks to the structural design of the building. part of the roof of the structure is it is all under ground, slabs are concrete that were made to be pulled out.

in this crane to remove the 14 by 5-foot slab just to get to the fire. it was an explosion heard and seen for miles monday. >> i could see gray smoke low and all of a sudden the black plumes started coming out. >> one that injured 5 workers who say it was caused by a sand ramping up as part of the system. >> this is a waste water facility, obviously it smells you need an odor control system. still the fire fighting conditions remain unfavorable. >> dark, forget to shut the lights off, full of black smoke then the visibility is two to three feet. a daunting task and a pain staking 1-2 for a stubborn fire still smoldering hours after it started. >> taking a live look here down the street where that plant is, i can tell you as for those five people who were injured at

police say the suspect open fire on knightongale street, they found the car and not the suspect who is known for police. police also on the hunt for this man for shooting two people at the station last week. police say 21-year-old alverado should be armedded and dangerous, if you see him call 911. police in weymouth, the calls were recordings that went to several locations including the police department, south shore hospitals and retail stores the calls began around 8:30 last night the locations were checked out by officers and k9 units so far nothing has been found. to campaign 2016 donald trump dominating the republican race with less than a week ago
