interstate 495. two scenes and one murder. all beginning here at this home street apartment in norton. a 911 call from apartment unit 2 results in authorities making a troubling discovery. a woman stabbed not breathing and not responding. identified as julie meede, 34- year-old pronounced dead at the hospital. in a bizarre chain of events it was only minutes later another 911 call this one from a crash on interstate 495 in norton. a pickup truck cruetsing the median slam -- slamming into median-- pickup truck crossing the median slamming into another vehicle. further charges for mcdonald are likely. as for the driver of the nissan we are told she was taken to

serious injuries. in the meantime, mcdonald is expected to be arraigned later today. we are live in norton, nicole jacobs wbz this morning. >> thank you very much. now to a developing story in brookline. police have recovered the get away car involved in a double shooting and stabbing. two suspects are still on the run. >> let's get to susie steimle live in brookline and police hope this car will lead to some arrests. >> reporter: they are hoping that. and they say that car they have a good idea who may have rented it. they are hoping that leads them to some suspects in this case. and where i am standing is where all of this started on st. paul street at this apartment complex. they say they found the first victim here and then the suspects took off in this car careening down beacon street towards coolidge corn and dropped two more -- corner and dropped two more victims this and took off. white ford focus with new york plates is considered a key piece in a brookline police investigation.

is one of two suspects involved in a bloody brawl that started in brookline wednesday morning. the car was found on theback by a wednesday night. it started with the report of a man shot and stabbed on st. paul street in brookline that morning. >> disturbance 198 st. paul street call he on the second floor reporting a disturbance on the third floor. >> reporter: they responded to that call, they received another. >> multiple people stabbed here. i got two people stabbed. >> reporter: a few blocks away witnesses reported seeing two men tumble out of the ford focus covered in blood. the car took off and another man is said to have run from the scene. the car go in front. >> reporter: the disturbance forced schools in the area to shut down as police searched for the two suspects and took the other three men to the >> terrifying. it is unfortunate this is my daughter's classroom. me.

an interview with a cabdriver who stopped a man accused of firing shots near the taj hotel in boston. the suspect tried to leave with a alcoholic drink and pulled out a gun when employees tried to stop him fired one shot and jumped into a taxi. cabdriver who didn't want to be identified says flack fired a shot into the bulletproof partition. >> i opened the door and i went to the back right away. here. i took it from him. >> the driver called 911 and police arrested flack who now faces several gun charges. today marks 30 years since the space shuttle challenger exploded after taking off killing-- killing 6 astro gnaws teacher. students had hold a moment of silence and are working on a mcauliffe.

>> thanks very much. let's check top stories. following breaking news in norton a woman murdered in her home. her estranged husband will be charged in court today. police say they got a 911 call from julie meede's apartment around 7:30 last night. emergency responders rushed to the hospital where she was pronounced dead. a minute after that 911 call state police were alerted to a serious crash on 495 not far from the murder scene. the victim's estranged husband martin mcdonald was driving on 495 south when he crossed the median and crashed into another vehicle. mcdonald is being held by police and will be arraigned later this morning. a well-known charity accused of wasting donation money. a new hampshire veteran says he had to expose them. ear rick millet came home from iraq with a bronze star purple

27 dough grows in boston right now -- degrees in boston right now. 10 to 15 degrees colder in spots even as cold as 25 degrees colder than this time yesterday. it's 18 in laconia and 16 in norwood compared to 27 in boston and same in marshfield. it's colder in the suburbs including the cape and island. 17 on the vineyard and 20s for a little wind. real feel is running in the teens in spots. today. but sun will be shining once it coms. clear skies overhead and grab the shades as you head out. we will get clouds that mix in at times this afternoon. but overall, not a bad winter day. climbing into the lower 40s all the way from the city of of boston through southern new hampshire from 40 from keene and the wind from the south you can see that arrow on here about 5 to 15 miles per hour today. we will top out in the low to mid-40s from the south shore back down to the cape. tonight cloudy and a sprinch or flurry not a big deal.

30 and the wind will be pretty light. tomorrow, looks unsettled. it's not going to be a washout and tracking rain and snow showers temperatures should still manage to climb up to right around or just over 40. so the moisture i am watching for tomorrow combination of two things. storm coming in from the northwest snow showers through great lakes. there are a couple showers rain showers through the carolinas and more moisture near the gulf. so both storms will try to converge here on new england. and until then we have got high pressure in control and the question all week has been how quickly do the two interact. notice tomorrow morning areas of rain in eastern massachusetts. the cold front comes in and brings scattered rain or snow shower and the impact is pretty low because we have been so mild. there may be some scattered coatings here or there but i don't anticipate widespread snowfall total or anything like that. saturday we start with sunshine and then an increasing cloud and the clouds represent mild air trying to push in.
