ride home with an isolated shower along the south coast. we will stay mild this week and talk more about it in a couple minutes. >> thanks very much. breaking news in boston, police are investigating an accident involving a woman in dorchester. she was hit by a car and possibly dragged near columbia road. we are told police are also looking into an earlier report of a pedestrian hit in china town. police checked out both scenes and we have a crew on the scene gathering information. we will have a live report at 5 for you. we are following breaking news in roxbury. a 3-year-old taken to boston medical center. police tell us the child is a trauma victim but it's unclear how the child got hurt. police first responded to the home on alpine street around 9:40 last night. officers were on the scene throughout the night and we will bring you more as the information comes into the newsroom. an investigation is underway into the social media

mosquitoes in the united states. allegations of abuse at a school for boys with disabilities. five people arrested in connection with the investigation are expected in court today. four men are facing assault charges while one woman is accused of intimidating a witness and obstructing justice. the abuse allegedly occurred at eagleton school in great barrington. the private school cares for boys cognitive behavioral and developmental disabilities. the five were arrested saturday and released on personal recognizance. two women are accused of distributing drugs with children. children were found during a drug raid on king street. the children ages 6, 5 and 3 were surrounded by trash mice and animal waste. they are now in state custody. a bizarre warning in townsend watch out for flying car parts. police say somebody is throwing spark plugs and bolts at cars. at least 10 incidents have been

now police are asking anyone with information to come forward. no one has been hurt. two wellsly teens are accused of ripping up a dover field at the elm bank property yesterday afternoon. you can see what looks like tire tracks all over the field. the two teens are expected to face charges of malicious destruction. this week the girlfriend of mob boss whitey bulger is expected to plead guilty to a federal contempt charge. she refuses to tell investigators if anyone helped them. she is serving a 8 year term to help him avoid capture. the hearing is wednesday. today mbta riders get another chance to sound off on plans for a fare hike. the meeting is in worcester tonight. they will talk about possible changes to the commuter rail schedule. they want to raise rates between 6 and 10% to cover a 242 million dollar budget deficit. if approved, the fare hikes

average snowfall for february is 10.9 inches. last year we had 64.8 inches of snow for our record year and record month of february. now, this morning, we are about 10 degrees above what we typically should be in the afternoon. it's remarkable. 45 in boston right now. southwest wind at about 13 miles per hour. and look at this. we are 50 in falmouth. there are cooler readings but 30s not too bad out the door. 30 in keene right now and there are some clouds in place. these clouds will be on increase today but we will see some sunshine as the sun comes up this morning. we are so mild because there's a cold front approaching from the west. out ahead of it, we get the southwest wind dragging in the warmer air. and even notice there are not a ton of showers to the west either. so, i can't rule out an isolated sprinkle that comes through generally late afternoon and into the evening. then greatest risk would be along the south coast for a brief shower to come on through. then tonight we get partial clearing.

beautiful winter day. we won't be as warm as today but we should see well above average temperatures in the mid to upper 40s. heading into the day on wednesday we talked about it last week. looks pretty wet with areas of rain moving in during the morning commute. and mainly mid to late morning for most of us. with the steadiest rain wednesday afternoon into the evening hours. then a cold front comes in by the time we get to thursday night. there may be a lingering shower early on thursday and clearing comes in after that. so looks like wednesday will be the wettest day of all the days this week. look at these highs, 57 in boston. 60 today in norwood and same in taunton and this is average for the the end of april. remarkable warmth today. upper 50s from bedford to lawrence. 55 manchester this afternoon. with clearing that comes in tonight we cool off. it won't be as mild as right now. 33 boston. generally in the upper 20s in the suburbs and high temperatures tomorrow not as

welcome back. 4:52 on your monday morning. we are following breaking news. police investigating two pedestrian accidents one in dorchester and another in chinatown. we begin in dorchester where a woman was hit and possibly dragged near columbia road after 1:30 this morning. the woman was taken to the hospital. we are told she has life- threatening injuries. and police are investigating a pedestrian accident that came two minutes earlier in chinatown. that person is expected to be okay. police checked out both scenes are investigating some possible connection. we have a crew on the scene gathering information and we

up for you at 5. >> two teens are in court everettt. omar reyes was shot and left under the bridge january 3rd and later died. saturday police arrested two 17- year-old for the crime. we expect to learn new details at the arraignment. the bill cosby case heads back to court this week. sexual assault at his philadelphia home before the criminal charges the woman settled a lawsuit with cosby. the 78-year-old says investigators told him if he testified in that lawsuit whoa never be charged. prosecutors deny the claim and a judge will hear testimony on the issue tomorrow and decide if the case should go to trial. a wrentham man saved by anun is recovering a tree fell on the man while he was in the woods behind his home. a nun heard his cries for help and called 9 len.
