newt 6 a marathon survivor's new quest to become the first bombing victim to run the entire race. aid reign haslet was a row fecialal dancer when she lost her leg in she worked hard to resume her dancing career and rebuild her life and she spoke with paul burton about why she wants to take on the challenge. >> reporter: for boston thayer upon sur -- marathon survivor adrianne haslet each step is how far she has come and how to inspire others. >> it's a way to gib back to

say a giant thank you to everybody but to remember those who are sitting on the couch without legs because of insurance coverage. >> reporter: she lost part of the left leg in the bombings. now three years later she will be the first boston marathon survivor amputee to runt entire 26 -- run the entire 26.2 miles running to provide money for limbs for life. >> this is going to give them the chance to dream big and run and dance and do whatever they want to do because you feel so hopeless and you don't have a leg. >> reporter: she is training at stone hill college and take advantage of the warm days. brian from the clinic is keeping a close wap on her blade and making all necessary adjustments. >> this carbon blade has tocompress which stores energy and release it into the next step. my goal is to make sure i support her in the way she is comfortable. optimally functional. >> reporter: she has been a dancer most of her life and never dreamed of running the marathon but she says she is

chatham at 49 but it was spring and birds why sing and beautiful. these are the big stories to watch this week. there is winter on the map. a lot of snow developing in the rockies and this is going to be a blizzard up across the plains into the upper midwest. severe weather outbreak on tuesday likely across much of the mid south and into the ohio valley. far north and then as that storm approaches us it's a mild rainfall moving up into canada like the storm we had back around christmas time. so here's big picture. high pressure is in the middle. one cold front is moving through tonight. and still breezy outside and a couple rain showers not too much showing up on radar but we will get a couple showers across far southeastern massachusetts heading through the the evening. winds are not terrible. but you notice it 10 to 20 miles per hour some gusts bringing in the cool are air. so a big change by tomorrow morning. we are in the upper 20s and low 30s and towards the cape mid- 30s by tomorrow morning. but that relative change is going to feel kelly out the door. so a bright start sunrise at 6:57.

see the shadow out there tomorrow morning. sawn clouds at midday pleasant into the 40s and cool are along the immediate water's edge. winds turn onshore and heading towards the evening 41 which normally we would take no questions. but it will feel cooler compared to today. the next storm system to watch mentioned the one on wednesday. and right now looks dry in the early morning and rain will start moving in as we head into the afternoon. and noticing the rain extends all the way up into places like burlington and up around mount washington. and as we head into the evening and overnight slowly the heavier rain will continue to push and so we should see decent totals and the system won't push offshore until thursday morning. our high temps will be in the middle of the night. wednesday into thursday. so the biggest impact on travel looks to be into the afternoon and evening hours on wednesday. and this is just a rain event snow ice or snow and i think that the predicted model rainfall may come up a little bit. we could see towns over an inch with this event. as the front moves offshore it
