the water front but somerville is protesting one of the environmental permits with a lawsuit saying that the extra traffic is not only inconvenient but also unhealthy. >> the wynn casino project will put 18,000 extra cars per day 18,000 extra cars per day on local roadways pumping tons of exhaust into the air we breath. >> reporter: wment ynn said -- wynn says wheel they have never been motivateded to build the resort -- motivated to build the resort but the appeal by somerville's mayor leaves no choice but to shut down permanent building construction. they hoped to complete construction by late 2018. that is now all up in the air. paula and david. developing news now a missing holbrook mom fond alive. she disappeared monday moments before she was supposed to pick up her son. bill shields is live with the

>> reporter: we still don't know. in fact police have a lot of questions. there's no good explanation as to why judy sales left home. but there are a lot of relieved people around here that she is safe when cliff sales left there must have been a feeling of relief. his wife judy was found in connecticut alive and physically unharmed. >> we located her in waterford connecticut and she was located by a citizen who had seen the car on the news and pulled into a shopping mall and saw the vehicle and called us. >> reporter: she was in it. >> she was not in the vehicle when it was first located she walked up to the vehicle afterwards. >> reporter: mondaya noon about 2:30 judy sales went to pick up her 10-year-old son at school. she drove away from the family home but never showed up at his school at 6 her husband called police but no one could find her until a passer-by in

her car today at a mall. show asked to be taken to a hospital. >> no criminal responsibility but she is there with the proper authorities and her husband is in route and we are gladeverything worked out. >> reporter: >> i am glad. >> reporter: that's all he would say as he he left the police station is to -- station to join his wife in connecticut. so again judy sales is in a hospital in connecticut and presumably her husband is with her by now. but again, no explanation as to why she left the family reporting live bill shields wbz news. >> thanks tonight a police officer is facing charges for hit-and-run. today 28-year-old ryan callinanis accused of hitting a bicyclist and taking off. the victim has been released

to tragedy in barry a teen killed her brother or she was killed and her brother badly injured in a crash this morning. ken macleod is live with the story. >> reporter: the high school opened two hours late because officials wanted to give public works crews more time to work on the icy rural roads out here. but still, just after 9 this morning, a red k a on the way to the school -- kia on the way to the school the driver lost control and hit a tree. no one saw the accident. but passers-by called 911. rescuers went into the wreckage with the jaws of life but weren't able to save the driver. 17-year-old brittany murch. she was dead at the scene. her 15-year-old brother griffin was cut from the front passenger seat and rushed to umass medical center in worcester where we understand he is in critical condition with his mom at his bedside.

well tonight keeping our eye on another storm system that is headed in this direction. >> this one is pabbing heavy rain -- pack heavy -- packing heavy rain and strong wind and eric has been tracking it and we are thinking the ground is not frozen so tree roots are vulnerable in the wind. >> soggy and that could bring down trees as we head into late tonight and tomorrow morning. maids mazing to see in -- amazing to see here. red squares are tornado warnings and if you look at the radar, you know what month isn't. look at the storm system all spun up here around the ohio valley blizzard conditions on one side and this one a little ahead of the time usually you see a storm like this maybe in march or early april. something like that.

and look at the squall line coming through washington in the middle of rush hour. this is all lit up with severe thunderstorm warnings or gusting over 70 miles per hour. storms themselves are moving 70 miles per hour off to the north and east. and that's the line we are going to watch for later tonight. won't be as severe but it's going to bring issues in southern new england. in the meantime, we have the appetizer downpours and showers scattered about the area. and this is well out ahead of that mainline of storms. right now heavier rain that's moving through the milton area and quincy and seeing heavy downpours on the expressway and down towards the braintree split. most of this is heavy rainfall with ponding on the roadways and slow travel for sure and there's still fog and icy conditions also to contend w depends on location. quarter mile visibility in worcester half mile in boston and marshfield and look at temps and many areas in worcester county are dealing with ice on the trees and some bent over by the weight. and cold air holding it's way across the region and look towards the south and east and you have warmer air in the

very slowly that's going to take over as we head through the overnight hours. and i keep mentioning it and we have had a couple storms like this model don't do well with cold air. they always try to rush it out and it doesn't happen that way so don't think anyone here north and west of 495 you won't get into the 40s until 10 or later on tonight. and certainly across the board in new hampshire it will be after midnight tonight. everywhere else the cold will give way. heading past midnight we haveheavy down porns chance for hf thunder and light nick. -- downpours a chance of heavy thunder and lightning. it may be out of here to take away from the impact of the morning commute. heavy rainfall lined up in eastern mass by 8 it is moving offshore very mild temps out the door starting the day. but there could be leftover debris from strong winds taking down limbs and trees during the early morning hours. the chance for couple more popup showers as we head into tomorrow afternoon.

heaviest of downpours after midnight gusting 40 to 60 out of the south and whoa could see damage with that. but not just with the storms in the morning. wind kicks up again during the day tomorrow so throughout the thursday for power crews who might be out there. we could still see gusts close to 60 miles per hour tomorrow afternoon especially in south eastern parts of the state. so we are looking at heavy rain and flooding and damaging wind gusts and outside chance we could see severe thunderstorm warning issued tonight and tomorrow morning and it would be for the strong winds moving through. high temps 61 in boston tomorrow as well as plymouth 56 in fitchburg and jaffrey up to 54 melt willing away the ice. short of records for the date. but still way up above the norm for late february. and things calm down and end of the week it's cooler and breezy on friday and looking at a pretty good weekend. milder air returns on sunday and we even come close to 60 degrees again on monday for the final day of the month. so here's accu-weather 7-day forecast. upper 30s beesy on friday and
