. live from the channel 4 studios in boston. wbz news at noon starts right now. it's super tuesday. here is a live look at the polls, let's get a look where voters are choosing their candidates in the biggest states so far in campaign 2016. hundreds of delegates are on the line good afternoon thanks for being with us. thanks for join ustion today could be a game changer when it comes to the presidential race, massachusetts one of a dozen states voting today up for grabs half the delegates needed for the republican nomination, a third needed for the democrat.

peddled by the republican candidates. it is a super tuesday race too close to call. the wbz amherst poll showing clinton leading bernie sanders by 10 points with 9% of undecided voters. sanders casting his own vote is hoping to capitollize on those undecided. >> i am confidence if there is a large voter turn out across this country we are going to do well. if not we'll probably be struggling. the mayor marty walsh is not in that number casting his ballot. >> it is about the future who has the best message to be the president of the united states of america. hillary has the issues people really care about. taking a live look here voters casting their ballots they'll do that through 8:00 tonight. voter turn out could be the

race i can tell you according to massachusetts officials they expect 2 million voters to head to the polls. nicole jacobs wbz news. in fact they are expecting potentially record turn out today here in massachusetts. this election season has been unlike anything else. mainly due in part to one candidate, donald trump. susie is live in watertown with more on how the republican race is shea shaping up. >> reporter: our recent polls shows donald trump has 47% of the vote. that support has not only gotten people out for him to vote on the republican side, made some democrat voters say they don't want to see him in office and making sure their voices are heard today as well. >> whether you are motivated to vote for a candidate. >> i voted for governor kasich. donald trump just frightens me to death.

republicans are being credited with bringing people together to vote charlie baker cast his ballot early tuesday morning wouldn't say who he supports. >> i wasn't going to vote for ted cruz, you can take it from there. we are going to have a very good super tuesday. >> making voters worry the less combative candidates just won't be heard. >> i think kasich actually on the republican side is the one that has some credibility but the votes. most say they want to hear substance. >> when it comes to substance issues, i don't think the me in anyway. >> i just want to see it witel down. >> now, the massachusetts secretary of state has told

to east by about 10 a.m. and clearing comes in after that temperatures will be cooling during the afternoon tomorrow. so it is a great time to download the cbs boston weather app, it is free, available in the apple and google app stories. a funeral is underway for an officer killed on duty her first day on the job. officers are in virginia to honor the life of ashley glenden. we have a live in prince william county where the funeral for the 28-year-old officer is just getting underway. she grew up in new hampshire where the station with draped in her memory. they plan to bury her next to her father in this cemetery in springfield massachusetts, he was an air guards man who committed suicide after returning from a torn iraq. >> she had experienced tragedy

yet she was able to move forward with her dream. >> army staff sergeant you see here has been charged in her murder. state police are investigating a deadly crash on route 24 in randolph, officers say that a car went off the road this morning through the median and on to the other side of the highway before hitting a guardrail. the driver was killed and a passenger taken to the hospital with serious injuries. their identities have not yet been released. high winds caused damage, police say early this morning construction debris came raining down from a site, the falling i tells broke windows at the hotel and part of a glass atrium next door, police say luckily no one was hurt the area is now cleaned up. this noon a woman has died after being pulled from a burning home dramatic video shows firefighters that work this morning, the fire broke out around 8:15 at the home on main street crews say there was heavy smoke and flames when they arrived. the quads is under

you can see it just a brief period particularly outside of 495 late this evening first part of the over night. any untreated surfaces may be a little bit slick, worcester hills keep a close eye on the car thermometer. otherwise areas of rain downpours tomorrow morning a wet morning commute with pockets of rain coming through during the morning rush hour, 10:30, left over showers the cape and the islands, thunder shines breaking out after that, temperatures falling through the 40s. the wind will be an issue as well ramps backup tonight won't be as strong as last night until pre-dawn, 4 a.m. gusts over 50 miles per hour right around that possible from the south coast back down to the cape, we may see some isolated outages results in that particularly for the cape and islands tomorrow morning with that wind still strong it is not damaging for everybody else but we'll see some gusts 30 to 40 miles per hour right
