11:11 pm
>> no question who the winners were tonight. >> nope, it's clear. >> ted cruz, by the way he wins his home state of t, and picks up -- texas, and picks up oklahoma, and called on his republican rivals to drop out, and back his campaign for the good of the party. >> for the candidates who have not won a state, who have not racked up significant delegates, i ask you to prayerfully consider our coming together. uniting. >> marco rubio hardly sounds like a candidate dropping out and backing cruz though. tonight at a rally in miami he encouraged florida voters to back him in the state's critical primary two weeks from now. he's not yet won a state, to tonight's speech was really a rallying cry about the american dream. >> for the first time in a long time young americans believe the american dream is dead.

11:16 pm
>> and our ken is outside a rally where they're happy. >> reporter: they are, it was billed as a celebration for volunteers and supporters at trump's base state headquarters. no live cameras inside, but there was little suspensor surprise. they cut some cake at the massachusetts headquarters, and heaped prize on him. >> i think -- praise on him. >> i think he's a genius actually. >> reporter: donald trump easily put the bay state in his super tuesday trophy case. >> those are the people that everybody is revolting against, and the more they criticize him, the more they call him out, the more support he gets. >> >. time and again he con founds all of his critics, and he just, to me, is very appealing. >> reporter: his supporters repeat it over and over, trump is a guy that tells it like it is.

[ cheering ] >> reporter: they choked the tight race here up to geography, so close to vermont, but does it really matter? >> we'll keep working until the polls close. >> reporter: so yes, it may be very close still in massachusetts, but mayor walsh told me that hillary clinton won the city of boston by 20,000 votes. back to you.
11:19 pm
celebrated at a watch party in summerville. >> and they watched the results come in tonight. >> reporter: and win or lose guys, this is quite an optimistic crowd, remember massachusetts is a state where sanders was behind by double digits just a couple of months ago. a win tonight in his home state of vermont came as no surprise, but a victory in oklahoma and a race that's too close to call in massachusetts, fired up this devoted sanders crowd. >> it's like he's not giving up. that's for sure. >> we're here and optimistic because a year ago no one thought this would have happened. >> reporter: it's as much about image as it is about winning for the vermont senator a after back to back -- after back to back losses in nevada and south carolina. the supporters say it will go all the way. >> he was never supposed to win the southern states, he has a long way to go, and he said

11:22 pm
do not be fooled by the mild air in the morning. rain is down by late morning, and midday falling into the 30s in central massachusetts. i think by the evening the temperature drop is probably more precipitous, we'll be in the 20s and low 30s by the evening, so wet areas start freezing up, and wind chill in the teens by the time you head home from work tomorrow, so big changes throughout the day. we have wind advisories on the south coast, some gusts maxing to 50 miles per hour, and heavier downpours in the morning, so we could see a few more scattered power outages, couple of trees and limbs down, and staying window all day long. southerly winds in the morning change to a westerly wind in the afternoon. colder air pouring in, and winds topping out about 45 miles per hour in the afternoon. the other story is the cold behind the storm, and also the following storm system for friday. indications are that this is going to stay just off to the
