for so long and we have had heavy rainfall that can runoff quickly and cause flash flooding. here is an updated drought monitor. you can see the rainfall deficits, 8" in worcester and 6" in boston, and the darker brown shading is where we have the driest conscious and the smallest likelihood of heavier rainfall tomorrow. so, unfortunately, an area that we would like to see heavier rain doesn't look like going back to may of last year, a 13" rainfall deficit and what i am expecting for tomorrow is the heaviest rain is focused towards the south coast, cape, islands, south eastern massachusetts, and connecticut and rhode island. if the the heaviest bands come on shore off the ocean, we could see 3 to 4 tote - totals. the pike, lighter rainfall there.

interesting. liam martin, thank you. and jon keller here, and jon, i have seen at least 10 articles of what hillary must do. everyone has their own ideas about what she should say to make tonight a success, paula. but i have a few suggestions about what she shouldn't say. for instance, don't over do the trump bashing. her surrogates did a fine ratings are through the roof. why not just draw sharp comparisons between what she would do and he would do and leave it at that. comparative criticism can be effective without being too harsh. don't forget the swing voters you need to speak to most. in the latest news poll, 7 out of 10 independents think our country is on the wrong track,

i think the farther south we go, that's when you will get in the higher zone. let's take a look at tonight. temperatures, the last really hot day for a while. many towns topping 90. 90 in norwood and 85 in plymouth, and it's getting humid with the dew point at 74 in chatham, soupy air there. what we're watching is the storm system developing off to the south and at the same time, a few thunderstorms before that main system. we have downpours just straddling the line at the merrimack river, the north side. a few rumbles of thunder, much- needed rainfall and this picture from greg looking north and west, you can see the gray shading at the bottom, the rain falling from the storm. there's your appetizer. this is the main event gathering to the south and west

spread the area tonight. the clouds fill in, humid, and rain after midnight and looking at temperature that is hold in the 70s, and then we head into the day tomorrow. this is a system you would very much see in the winter time, so late tonight, the rain starts to fill in, and tomorrow morning, many of us seeing light to have moderate rainfall and mid to late morning, we have the best chance of heavier rain in the afternoon. when i say it's like a wint i think the heaviest rain will track along the south coast and the cape, and i think the heaviest rain will miss northern massachusetts and new hampshire, might get a few showers here. if we go from .1" here to 4 to 5" along the immediate south coast. a big difference and the rain
