shootings there. she was hired through an app to care for a dog. but instead she's accused of abusing that pet. in a june, a quincy firefighter left his elderly dog in the woman's custody. he returned a few days later and the dog was nearly dead and his savings nearly gone. >> it's all false. >> reporter: kathryn barker said she loves animals and would never hurt an years. it just breaks my heart. his injuries a previous kenle they were at. >> reporter: this is sully, 14 years old. joe went on vacation last june, he fired barker, but five days into his vacation, neighbors

>> my boy needed help. she wasn't there to give it. witnesses proved that she wasn't at the house. >> reporter: sully could barely walk and was sleeping in his own waste and he found upwards of $10,000 missing from his home and believes that barker stole it and left his doing to die. >> absolutely. there is no doubt in my mind and to find out about the new things that happened with my credit cards, come on. >> reporter: barker said she did all and told her story to a magistrate. >> she did the right thing, contacting the vet. >> the dog is struggling to get up, and tears come to my eye when is i think about it, you know. >> reporter: despite barker's repeated claims of innocence, the imagine administration will send this to a judge where she will likely be charged with animal cruelty and larceny.
