route 3, 91, and 495 are all accident free and good to go. no delays on the t or the commuter rail. >> breaking news this morning. a deadly crash shutting down part of the mass pike overnight, and it was on the pike westbound in south borough. three vehicles were involved in this. some drivers were stuck in traffic for more than 2 hours while police investigated. 5:02 right now, and new details overnight about a fire in south their homes. >> and extra challenges for firefighters on the scene. wbz's nicole jacobs has the latest for us. >> reporter: chris and kathryn, the good news, no one was injure in the fire -- injured in the fire. the fire did creature four alarms and ultimately spread to two other buildings, and i want

department this morning of the fierce flames, and the fire broke out last night just before 10:30, and right now officials believe it began in a home that was under renovation, and that created challenges for crews because they arrived to heavy flames, but there was no actual first floor to the building. crews stayed here on the scene until just before 3:00 this morning, and the cause of the fire is still under investigation, and as you take yet another live look, you see the windows are completely blown out, and extensive damage here. i can tell you, according to fire crews right now, the estimated damage is $1 million, and we are live in south boston, nicole jacobs, wbz this morning. thank you for the update. a murder mystery putting a small massachusetts town on edge. a jogger found dead, and police are warning people not to run

live with more for us. >> reporter: chris, residents we talked to are taking the warning from police very seriously, locking their doors and walking in pairs. investigators don't know who killed vanessa marcotte or why. >> we have a horrible set of facts and circumstances here. >> reporter: police say they will not rest until they find the person who murdered 27-year- old vanessa marcotte and left her body in the woods about half a mile from her mother's house. sources say her body was and burned. >> we were all in shock. very family friendly community and quiet. sleepy town. >> i have two young daughters who jog regularly, and i was worried. >> reporter: police say vanessa marcotte was living in new york city as an account manager for google. she graduated from boston university with honors. she went far jog around 1:00

americans killed in the 2012 benghazi attack filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the democratic nominee on monday and said her so called extreme carelessness led to their sons' deaths. brian webb, cbs news. the united states adding to the gold medal haul. lilly king won the 100-meter breaststroke and set and ryan murphy won gold, also setting an olympic record. david plumber got the bronze in that event. the synchronized diving competition, usa won the silver medal in the 10-meter platform event and china took the gold. a disappointing night for the u.s. men's gymnastic team, they finished fifth. the women's gymnastic team will compete in the team championships today.

house fire, and flames broke out of the home yesterday, and fire crews tell us that views rescued one person inside, and the flames started in the basement and spread to the entire home. two firefighters were hurt but are expected to be okay. crews in bridgewater are investigating what caused this deadly house fire. robert murphy died in the blaze, and a family with a young child escaped from the second floor, firefighters they tried to alert murphy about the flames. the boston globe says eddie odnie was placed on leave after knowingly selling gift cards.

shutting down part of the mass pike. state police say four cars were involved in the crash in the westbound side of the pike near exit 11a, and three people were taken to the hospital, and some drivers were stuck in traffic for more than 2 hours while police investigated, and the pike is now back open. this morning, police are searching for answers in the murder of a woman in princeton. sources tell wbz that police found vanessa marcotte's body naked and burned she was out for a jog near her mother's home. police have no suspects, and they are asking the public to come forward with any information. people in the neighborhood have been told to be extra careful. a connecticut man accused of killing his own daughter. walter desilva was arrested on an unrelated case, and then prosecutors filed murder charges saying he shot and

sabrina. he was convicted of attempted murder on the teen's mother a decade ago. an everett man is being held on $100,000 bail. mark barry is accused of taking pictures up women's skirts on a bus, and he is charged with child pornography charges. police found the child porn while examining his phone. state troopers are searching stole a police suv in south boston. t roopers said no equipment was taken from inside. isaac harrington was with his family in maryland last week when he was accidently run over by a large commercial
