news at five. police call it a one man crime spree and here's the suspect who's facing charges for violent crimes in worcester. among them kidnapping, rape, and robbery. >> investigators say he did all of that in less than an hour. jim myth is live in woos we are the story. jim-- >> this is a frightening story. it took a long time to read all of these charges in court. ce downright terrifying. this was a string of violent crimes. >> two counts of aggravated rape -- >> reporter: and that was only the beginning. antonio damon facing a dozen charges, crimes committed in the space of an hour. it all began tuesday when they charged him with forcing his way into a woman's office and raping her.

danielle is back with the details. it's going to feel like 100, 101, 102 degrees tomorrow. and we're timing out a couple of downpours just pushing off of essex county and hugging the coastline. and pushing offshore in the next 10, 15 minutes. we have downpours from sudbury to whalen. and it's northeast side of shrewsbury. pockets of light to moderate rain. and a few additional downpours. and along the mass turnpike back through springfield. i can't rule out a shower in the next couple of hours. any leftover showers should taper off. and it's all about the heat tomorrow. the morning commute is going to be a warm start. 76degrees.

figure out why a real gun was being used. deputy bill cooper and a local police chief responding to a call this morning. when they went in the home, the man inside opened fire. deputy cooper died this afternoon. the suspect was arrested after barricading himself inside the home for hours. the kansas water park where a 10-year-old boy died reopened but the ride will be closed for the boy was decapitated on the water slide. it's almost 170 feet high. all the rides at the park passed private inspections in june. the funeral is scheduled for friday. >> three people are dead in a raging wildfire in portugal. early this morning, the flames modify into the town of madeira, forcing people to evacuate. three elderly people were

the fire destroyed 37 homes and a five star hotel. and something shattered these windows on a bus carrying journalists. the bus was headed to the olympic park and unknown projectiles hit it. 85,000 soldiers are deployed in rio. twice the number on the streets for the olympics ur went above and beyond. a woman called the emergency line looking for help. she said her neighbors were out of town and because of her disability. she couldn't drag her trash cans to the street to be picked up. >> it was a smaller town when people used to help people for no reason. >> that's an easy thing for me to do.
