life guard. new at 11:00, a little boy rescued from a dcr pool. tonight he's in the hospital covering thanks to the team effort. >> katie brace is live in hyde park tonight. >> reporter: and that 7-year- old boy was pulled from the pool not breathing. he was saved by a woman who was here to beat the heat and a life guard. the ems that got him breathing. the pool closed shortly af happened, and a woman jumped into action, and life guard also didn't hesitate. this is a state-run facility, and they released a statement saying we commend our life guards on duty for their quick actions today. they worked as a team calmly and efficiently that resulted in the saving of the young

breathing, and he was taken to boston children's hospital. reporting live in hyde park, katie brace, wbz news. 500 tips, but no arrests in the murder of a young woman jogging in princeton. sunday marks one week since she was killed. she was visiting from new york, and went for a run, and found dead hours later. state police have narrowed the window of the crime to between 1:00 and 3:00 in the afternoon. she fought for her life and her attacker scrape, and bruises. investigators are relies on help from the public. those tips, to help catch the killer. call the tip line if you have information which you can do anonymously. this is all new at 11:00, police say a drunk driver in new hampshire hit drivers on the road, and just kept going right into a dunkin donuts driver through, they they

jail. louisa is live there tonight. >> reporter: well, you may have heard america runs on dunkin, but a stop here meant one man wasn't running anywhere. there was an unusual order at this drive through thursday night. police say a 32-year-old man took his coffee with, well, some hand cuffs after a destructive two-mile drive. it started at dw drive where the man white hyundai and took off. on his way down the highway, police say he hit a second car, and that's when apparently he needed a caffeine fix. an officer spotted him here, and was kind enough to let him complete liz coffee order, but -- his coffee order, but police say even the coffee couldn't hide the drunken stupor. they arrested him for drunk driving and hit and run.

during the ordeal. he was slapped with a $2,500 bail and ordered to appear in court on august 23rd. wbz news. tonight a little boy is home safe after a shooting police say his father may have been involved in. for hours today relatives didn't know where they were, and tonight they're just relieved and thankful the boy is okay. that boy's father is in custody, and the child is with his grandfather. here's more from st headquarters. >> reporter: that child's father turned himself in, and he's in police custody at this hour. the grandmother, a spoke with her just after he turned himself in, and she said the fear of losing her grandson was unbearable. how does it feel to have him back? >> happy. >> reporter: this moment is precious for maria. less than 12 hours ago her grandson was missing. the boston police began a

morning. his own father took him after a shooting late thursday night at this apartment building. the boy's father was in a green ford explorer. detectives found the suv and the boy at this home, but not his father. >> he is crazy. it's unbelievable. i don't know. >> reporter: this is the suspect's ex-girlfriend. he dropped off the boy at her house, she's known the boy since he was 1, his father was involved in a shooting or the boy was reported missing. he dropped off the boy without explanation. >> you know, it's not his nature. no, he doesn't just develop around shooting people. no, i have never seen him with a firearm. none of that. >> reporter: the boy's grandmother painted a similar picture of his dad. >> he was, you know, he was a good father.

marshfield to plymouth. you'll see it in the dewpoint too. it's still really sticky out there. it's starting to dry out somewhat as the cooler drier air works into the coastline of the new hampshire seacoast. tonight still warm and humid. 71. we gradually cool off, but you could wake up to a shower overnight or even a rumble of thunder in a couple of spots. not anticipating severe weather. pre-dawn, storms out of worcester inside of 495, so if you're up around 6:00 or 7:00 you could wake up to some showers and fog. and otherwise the sun breaks up in spots, and pop some thunderstorms. 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. keep you on alert. a few storms could become damaging. wind gusts, heavy rain, lightning the biggest threats. a lot of action in central and eastern massachusetts you can see here, and southern new hampshire. notice the exception, the cape

from most of the action tomorrow and again sunday. so just have the back up plan tomorrow to seek shelter indoors should a storm head your way. tomorrow's highs, big range. 70s at the coastline. wouldn't be surprised if we come well into the 80s inland. some spots even touching 90. even hotter in western massachusetts and still humid. sunday's storm, the fast sunday just like today. and then storms pop mid to late afternoon. notice they're coming in first north and west of boston. similar story. a few storms could be on the stronger side, particularly in the early evening hours. i think tomorrow's storms will be miles an hour widespread. sunday they're widely scattered. again 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. the time frame. no need the cancel the outdoor plan, but have a back up plan in mind to duck inside and

upper 80s on the cape. you have to factor in the humidity, the real feel, coming over 100 degrees again. from new bedford to plymouth, all of eastern central massachusetts is going to feel like the mid-90s, so heat advisories issued probably during the day tomorrow. fenway park, big temperature swing, but keeping an eye out for storms the next couple of night, and 80s into the start of nec week and a couple -- next week and a couple of storms again by miek no wash outs. good for beneficial way. >> all right, thank you, we need any drop we can get. the red sox put up a good fight at fenway park. >> but did the tax strike back? diamond backs strike back?
