cop cord at the concord carlisle high school where it's 70 this morning. let's go to close to boston here in chelsea at the burk elementary school. 73. so the temperatures actually have been going up a little bit. in the last few hours. and the last both storms right there over boston. when i was on my way to work this morning 2:00. lot of lightning with that. hitting some of the south shore commie we're seeing thunderstorms little narrow string of showers and storms breaking out on the leading edge other cold front coming our way. so that means we'll get a few more thunderstorms popping up later this afternoon, early this evening as the front moves in. it's right back to 94 today. >> but feeling like a little bit over 100 because of the excessive humidity that will be around, as well. we got a high tide coming up this morning and my forecast for the next 7 days in a few minute. we do start with breaking news overnight.

sank. it happened around 1:30 this morning in dorchester bay right near castle island. luckily someone saw the boat and called 911. >> state police called in the coast guard who went out immediately and found all six people still on the partially submerged boat. soaking wet and needing help. the passengers ber checked out by ems on shore. fortunately, no one was hurt. right now it's still not clear why the boat sank in the first place. wbz, of course, will continue to follow this throughout the morning and bring you any updates as soon as they become available. also breaking this morning, a plea for calm that may finally be working after a violent night in milwaukee. protesters clashed with police, threw bricks and set fires first at a guess station, then, at least three other businesses. it started hours after a man was shot and killed by police as he fled a traffic stop. that shooting is now under investigation. and the officer involved was

the milwaukee journal sent in. a pedestrian is in the hospital this morning after being hit by a car in source boston last night. it happened just before 8:00 on day boulevard. >> state troopers closed the street for quite a while from the rotary to the mccormack bath house. it is back open. the injured pedestrian was taken to bmc no update on their condition. and a man drowned at a pool in an apartment complex in bridgewater. police and fire responded around 6:00 last night to a good samaritan pulled the 56- year-old man out of the pool and started cpr. paramedics took the man to the hospital where he did later die. police say the victim lived in the apartment complex officials have not yet released his name and the donald trumping is under investigation. well, police now say they have received close to 600 tips in the murder of vanessa marcotte. they are asking for specific help locating a man who might

cuts. that's because police believe marcotte fought her attacker when see was killed sunday while jogging near her mom's house in princeton. police want the public's help identifying any cars seen on brook station road last sunday between 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. marcotte's funeral is set for tuesday. now, to a wbz exclusive. a woman ended up stuck inside a dialysis clinic after everyone went home. he was supposed to be taken back to a nursing home. and she was found waiting hours later all by herself. wbz's katie brace has the story. >> they got her all cleaned up. >> reporter: a welcome update about a beloved woman 86-year- old maureen perry. >> hours earlier her grand daughter stood outside and took this photo of her. >> at first i was enraged and then concerned and now i'm just disgusted. >> reporter: her grandmother was alone. a personal forgotten. locked in a cold medical

>> i couldn't even believe it. >> reporter: she was in the dialysis clinic in methuen that closed three hours earlier. she is temporarily bedridden and at a rehab facility an ambulance atlanta ports her to dialysis. the rehab facility alerted the family she had yet to return. >> we haven't heard from anyplace yet. your grandmother hasn't come back to us. >> reporter: the ambulance company said the facility was locked up. so the family decided to drive er said i can't believe i'm about to report this. >> reporter: firefighters transpoured maureen to her rehab facility. erica is a nurse and cannot wrap her head around someone forgetting her grandmother. >> i'm in health care and this is disgusting. absolutely disgusting. somebody has to be accountable for this. >> this is absolutely not okay.

the center and have yet to hear back: police department note filed the state department of health. in methuen, katie brace. first responders say someone shot at them while they were answering a call in manchester new hampshire. police say american medical response paramedics were checking on a person who had passed out. when the crew heard and felt a bullet zip over their heads. officers searched the area but didn't find the shooter or any no one was hurt. also in manchester, two men are in jail after a street robbery on saturday morning. james dickson and jonathan vertigans are behind bars. during the robbery the pair stabbed 44-year-old mark hathaway. near the corner of chestnut and lowell streets. the victims expected to recover. a pistol wielding bandit robbed a bank on underrian rock road. the teller handed over some

running. he was wearing abyss ball cap and a bandanna to cover his face. he fled in a small brack car. undercover police make a drug bust in beverly. officers say two men were trying to sell heroin on elliot street and had a sizeable all of the cash on them. 21-year-old michael sanchez of salem and a 28-year-old are now face charges. they are expected in court next week. retailers are hoping shoppers will still be in the state's usual sales tax holiday. this weekend could have been a tax free weekend but state lawmakers axed the idea amid concern about revenue short falls. so now many retailers, though, are still offering discounts that equal or double the state's six independent a quarter percent tax. so that's good news.

welcome back. a square in the water the coast guard says a boston harbor cruise ship ended up hitting two other vessels. new video shows smoke coming from one ot no one was hurt. wbz's paul burton says a mechanical problem was to blame. >> reporter: passengers on board the regency, experienced quite a jolt as the ship returned on saturday morning to long wharf in boston. one witness said it came in too fast and too hard. >> one of the operators tried to assure the passengers that were standing on the top deck of the regency, to calm down. they were all up on their feet looked likely were feeling a

a wildfire turned into a flaming tornado out in oregon. firefighters are trying to put out the blaze near portland when the wildfire created a wind of its own and spun a vortex of flames. crews were finally able to put it out and no one was hurt. at least three people have died in historic flooding in louisiana. officials say more rain is in the forecast and flood watches are up across south louisiana through today. we have the latest. >> reporter: crews reached a woman just as flood waters swallowed up her car near baton rouge, louisiana. >> they found her dog under the water. >> reporter: in lafayette the water surrounded cars in a hotel parking lot. officials say more than 100 roads are cut off as rivers and creeks overnew year's eve their banks. >> this is unprecedented so we dent have records that we can go back and see who all's going

portions of louisiana and now it's kind of strung out. but they're still getting heavy downpours. that extend west ward to houston. >> this tropical feed here of tropical moisture is just going to come right up through the mississippi valley and right up northeastward eventually curving in toward the ohio valley and perhaps eventually causing us to get some showers and storms out of that tropical moisture sometime later on tuesday. looks like the greatest threat of northern new england and new york state. we may also have showers and storms today trying to find ways that we can get more rainfall which we really need badly. we shed you some of those big rainfall totals last hour. we'll be showing those again. >> current dewpoints low and middle 70s. truly tropical air back, again, office break yesterday. high temperatures today will be up in the 90s. like what we had thursday and

friday. when it was really over the top i think. i think you would agree with me on that for most of you. it's really over the top. with temperatures up around the upper 90s and dewpoints in the middle 70s that made it feel like 105 to 110. we had excessive heat warnings out on friday. today we'll have the real feel temperatures right around one monday to maybe as high as 105 degrees. but that's bad enough, of course. but not quite as serious as was friday. nevertheless, national weather service has a heat advisory up for the orange shaded area. and the pink zone is where it's feeling the hottest with an excessive heat warning where it may feel more like 105. at most east coastal beaches it will be 95. south coast feeling more like the mid and upper 80s. water temperatures in the low and middle 70s.

obviously sweltering there. 93 to 95. might be a thunderstorm scattered around. let's see if any are coming. nothing this morning. everything is peaceful and quiet after last night's activity and the thunderstorm which went around boston and south shore communities around 2:00, 2:30. we may see some of those around today. here's my 7-day forecast. calling for that 90 degree reading today. 90s for the most part. middle tomorrow. but 82 at the coastline with an on shore breeze tomorrow. not strong but enough to cool it a little bit. less humid. dewpoints in the 60s not in the 70s like today. 88 on tuesday. cooler at the coast. getting muggier, again, with showers and storms later in the day. heaviest across northern new england. 85 and drier air. maybe more dry air on wednesday than we'll have tomorrow. then up to 90 on thursday. so summer weather continues, kerry in this month of august.

minutes. update now on our breaking news overnight. six people rescued from boston harbor after their boat sank. it happened around; 30 this morning near castle island. >> the coast guard went out immediately and found all six people still on the boat. they got them to shore and checked them out. fortunately, no one was hurt but right now it's not clear why the boat sank. also breaking this morning, violent protests that stretched late milwaukee seem to be calming down a bit hours after police shot and killed a man running from a traffic stop. demonstrators set fire to at least four businesses and clashed wit police. one officer was injured when someone threw a brick at his squad car. so far there have been three arrests. check the other top stories a quincy woman being treated for life-threatening injuries. she was hit by a car walking on day boulevard. that in south boston.

ones earlier this morning i drove through that and it was a light ening show on the way to work. but everything is peaceful and quiet. we have a couple showers and storms way out west and that's where the next batch could be developing from or coming from when a cold front gets closer later in the day. scattered afternoon late afternoon thunderstorms into early this evening. and about 94 for an average high and it's going to feel more like more than 100 because of the fact we have the excessive humidity. more on 7 days ahead in we start with breaking news overnight, 6 people were rescued from boston harbor after the boat sank. it happened around 1:30 this morning in dorchester bay near castle island. luckily someone saw the boat sinking and called 911. state police called in the coast guard who went out immediately and found all 6 people still on the partially submerged boat. soaking wet and needing help. passengers were check out by ems onshore and no one was hurt.

investigators are now looking for a man with scratches, cuts or bruises who is in the area of brook station road on sunday afternoon. first responders say someone shot at them while they were answering a call in manchester new hampshire yesterday. police say american and medical response paramedics were checking out a person who passed out in a park lot on elm street when you crew heard and felt a bullet zip -- parking lot on elm street en heard and felt a bullet zip across their heads. no one was hurt. in manchester two men are in jail after street robbery yesterday morning. james dickson and jonathan vertigans are their names of the during the robbery they stabbed 44-year-old mark hathaway near chestnut and lowell streets. victim is expected to recover. undercover police make a drug bust in beverly. officers say two men were tried to sell heroin on elliot street
