this situation. the dialysis center has been doing its own probe saying someone made a mistake and that they deeply regret what happened. this is the photo. erica crosby snapped this of her 86-year-old grandmother forgotten and left in the dialysis center. first i was enraged, and then disgusted. >> reporter: a small staffer overlooked her. he did not see any patients in the treatment room and mistakenly believed that all patients had left the facility. according to the chief operating officer, someone made the call for an ambulance. but the building was dark and

facility appears to be locked, that there's no one there. our center called the dialysis center to see if there was anyone there. there was no answer. >> after a flurry of phone calls, they got the fire department to come rescue her. two days later this statement -- we have initiated additional processes and ensure that an incident such as this does not happen again. this woman's family had a conference call scheduled with managers for late this afternoon. they are hoping to hear what exactly happened and what's happening with the staff member who made the mistake and being done to make sure it won't happen again. christina hager, wbz news. david and kate back to you. not quite as hot today and

have increasing clouds and a chance for scattered areas of rain. that's phase number one. and most of the activity should be after lunchtime. we head into the afternoon, thunderstorms will be developing across the area and all of these could feature heavy rain, damaging wind gusts, and the warm front draped right over us. we could see a brief spinup tornado tomorrow. they are never likely in new england but we'll keep an eye as we head through the afternoon and the evening. thghfor storms will be a line from northern rhode island north and west. this is where we are the highest opportunity of seeing the heavy rainfall and storms before drying out on wednesday morning. the storm prediction center has the slight risk in wesrn new england. with the next update, we'll be asleep, and they'll likely extend this closer to the

areas of rain are likely 7:00 to 11:00, especially north and west of boston. and after lunch is the stormiest period. and any rainfall rates could be 1 to 2 inches per hour. high temperatures tomorrow mainly making it to the low 80s. we start the day with an east, southeast wind. and once the warm front moves through. that will bring in the humid air and the 80s. looking at the dew points, by and we start the day muggy on wednesday and the humidity will fall back and stay more manageable. the cold front moves through on wednesday. and behind it, northwesterly winds and humidity falling all day long. warm and much more comfortable for the afternoon and evening. and a slight chance for storms on thursday as a weak system moves in. tomorrow is our highest chance of rainfall. and then just a slight chance of showers wednesday morning.

and a slight chance on friday. it's good news if you're watching the patriots. thursday night, partly cloudy and a warm evening and shooting for a temp around 82 at kickoff. warm weather is sticking around for us. we're well into the 80s on wednesday, thursday, and friday. and the humidity will be manageable. the weekend looks dry. and maybe an isolated storm on sunday. and the best chance will be monday, a an ashland resident just rescued an injured hawk. officers say the hawk was pretty cooperative and didn't put up too much of a fight. animal control workers are trying to rehabilitate it. >> i like that the bird was cooperative. >> those hawks that don't cooperate are tough. >> peck your eyes out. there are cheeseburgers in paradise. but wait until you see the toilet.
