>> amazing. unbelievable. >> reporter: the pilot knew to mauve toward the fields because he lives down the street. katie bryce, wbz this morning. this morning, a man police describe as a violent felon is in custody accused of stabbing another man outside of a woburn restaurant. the victim was found slashed in the neck outside of jake and joe's early friday. he's in critical condition right now. the 36-year-old is facing assault charges. and this morning, a 15- month-old girl custody while police investigate her twin brother's death. noah john died thursday night from traumatic injuries. a baby sitter was watching both children in her home on monday when she found him unresponsive. the little girl is in the hospital. it's unclear who the other two children are in dcf custody. and this is video of the baby sitter leaving the woburn police department yesterday. the middlesex d.a. has not said when or if the

case. and wbz learned state police investigators are testing dna samples as they investigate the murder of vanessa marcott. she was killed while jogging in princeton. her body was found in the woods hours after leaving her mother's home for a run. investigators received 900 tips and so far, there are no arrests. and a soldier was in the right place at the right time to save a man from the wreckage of a horrible crash he witnessed the accident from a pizza place. his time in the military played a big role. >> and was covered in blood up to my elbows. >> reporter: he remembers almost everything. the spray of debris. >> the front left tire to the honda civic si was about here last night in this area. >> reporter: the stunned onlookers, the sound. >> and what sounded like two freight trains hitting each other. >> reporter: a great volkswagon jetta and white honda civic

thursday night in dorchester street and the 9-year army veteran said what he did next was pure muscle memory. >> and i immediately ran across the street and ran here and i was like, you know, is everyone okay? >> reporter: he heard a response from the jetta, a man with the broken leg but there was no sound from the civic. >> he was hurt bad and knocked from the driver's side to the passenger's side seat. covered in blood. >> reporter: that is when his driver's side door and it wouldn't bum. >> i ran to the back side and the passenger side, reached in and reclined the seat and went to go and grab the guy out and at that moment, that is when boston police came over and they were just like we got it from here. >> reporter: his actions so fast, joe slow to call it anything but instinct. >> and it's just something that everybody should do, i mean. it's not a big deal. >> reporter: police say that

running down three people in downtown crossing was driving without a license. she crashed her rented mercedes into two women and a 9-year-old boy on thursday. the witnesses lifted the car and freed the mother who was trapped under the frame. the driver is also accused of leaving the scene. and a nashua police officer is recovering after a drousy driver crashed into his cruiser. it happened as the officer was parked on the side of the road. the police believe the driver fell asleep at the wheel. the officer was injured but manad and we're seeing the first video of a framingham teenager accused of trying to kill his family on vacation. the 16-year-old is behind bars down in florida now. his mother and younger brother hospitalized with stab wounds. and the 911 calls have just been released. ken mccloud has more. >> reporter: as he was booked on two counts of attempted murder, gust ramgrip's calm demeanor was in stark contrast to his mother's hysterical 911

year-old son had been stabbed. >> my son is dieing here. and help me. >> where is the person that did this, ma'em? >> reporter: she said the attacker has been locked out, but it takes several minutes for the dispatcher to grasp the knife-wielding assailant is her other son, the 16-year-old. >> he never did anything look this. i don't know what is wrong. but he stabbed me and my son and you have to hurry. >> reporter: at roughly the same time, a 911 call comes in from a neighbor who said a teen is at stabbed his family. >> and he's a young man and he said he is not injured, but he is on our front porch. >> and you said he has no injuries, correct? >> no injuries, right, you're asking me? >> no. >> no, he's okay. >> reporter: the dispatcher hangs up and quickly calls the neighbor back realizing she is unaware that the teen on her porch is very likely gus. >> i'm going to stay on the 79 with -- on the phone with you until the police arrive there to meet you.

above the upper 70s to maybe close to 80. we hit 81 in boston yesterday. maybe not today and about 79 should be the high temperature and we'll have a changing amount of clouds and sunshine and it looks like the greatest amount of clouds is back into interior sections. wey is 50s in western and nowhere new england, but they're the dew points showing where the moisture is pooling and seems to be in this area in here, there is a surge of higher humidity rolling up and that is where there is a lot of low cloudiness into portions of worcester county, eastern connecticut, portions of rhode island and this is the area that may have some scattered showers forming this morning or this afternoon. and there is noing about thunderstorms but a few scattered showers may form. and the rest of the area is high humidity to oppressive and some of that is coming back this weekend. but it won't last long. we have real dry air coming the

suburbs today and near or just under 80 at the coast line. we have an onshore breeze and a high tide at 1:25 this afternoon. and water temperatures continue in the low to mid-70s. pretty nice there and it looks like the clouds, watch them develop over here. there are a lot of low cloudiness in there and it may make some of the low cloudiness burn off. other clouds will burn up and release a few scattered showers in here and the coast line might be partly cloudy to mostly clear tomorrow. and the greatest threat of a few scattered showers again, tomorrow, will be primarily from worcester county westward and parts of rhode island into connecticut and into western massachusetts. and now, everybody should get some rain late sunday night and early monday morning by day break. it moves out quickly and shouts down, the air dries out, the wind is gusty, 50 to 30 miles per hour and refreshing air comes in about 81 and lots of sunshine on monday and beautiful weather next week. almost a whole week is going to

. welcome back. usain bolt secured his triple- triple with last night's win and secured the gold medal in three events in three straight olympics. the jamaica team took home gold in the men's 4 by 100-meter relay. he said this was his last olympic race and look at this crowd. the fans all over jamaica crowded into restaurants and packed public squares to watch the win.

medalled in this event since 2004 and finished third. they were later disqualified for a bad baton handoff. the women's relay won last night's 4 by 100 in over 41 seconds, the fifth gold medal for team member allyson felix. and u.s. women were golden in the water. the american women's water polo team crushed team italy in the gold medal game last night and that extends the team's win also outscored opponents, 73-32 in rio. and so, the u.s. now has 105 total medals, 38 gold, 35 silver, and 32 bronze, which puts us closer to our own record of 110 set during the 2008 olympics in beijing. leave all, china fell in second place in the medal count with 65 medals and great britain a close third with 60.

personal account was forgettingup classified work. condition. and -- work done. and police are looking for a person who attacked an mbta bus driver. they're releasing the pictures. they say this man here assaulted a bus driver at the intersection of cambridge street and brighton avenue after 12:30 at night on monday. the tipsters can remain anonymous so anyone with information is asked to please call the police. and this is unbelievable video. take a look at this. it shows a man cruiser. when the officer crashed it in arkansas. the suspect actually tried to make a run for it, but police caught him a short time later. the officer was badly hurt in this crash. wow. and a red sox pitcher's name is being mentioned in cy young talk and david ortiz continues to give red sox nation plenty of reasons to remember him after his retirement. we have it all for you coming

good morning, everybody. i'm debbie. welcome to centro. and did you know there are currently 5 million americans living with alzheimer's disease and 120,000 live here in massachusetts, currently there are over 200,000 latinos living with alzheimer's disease here in the u.s. and that number is expected to rise to over 1.3 million by the year 2050 and to w tell you about the 2016 walk to end alzheimer's this coming september. with us is gabriela ruiz, the manager of professional healthcarees iss for the alzheimer's association, massachusetts new hampshire chapter. >> good morning, gabriella. >> and thank you finish having us. >> and we're here because -- and we're excited and happy because we're going to talk about this great walk that you're going to be having. at the same time, the stats are not good.

what is it that it keeps growing? >> i think that we need to promote awareness so that people are getting diagnosed and getting treatment. unfortunately, we don't have a cure. it's the sixth leading cause of death in the united states and researchers are working hard to find a cure by 2020. >> and i understand it affects more women. >> that's correct. >> why is that so? >> we don't know that yet. maybe because women are living risk as you get older, although age is not a risk factor. >> yes. >> or it's not a normal part of ageing but -- . >> do you think also, though, gabriela and do you think there are more women than men that maybe that adds to the fact that there are more women and it's because there are more women in general on earth. >> right. >> and that could be a possibility. we don't know yet. >> and tell us about the great walk you're going to have and

>> and this is the biggest fund raising event? >> right and the biggest walk is september 25th in cambridge and we're working hard to be the number one walk in the country again. two years ago, we were the number one and last year, the number two and we're working hard and there are 12 walks throughout massachusetts and new hampshire. >> yeah. >> and so you can sign up at alz.org/walk and form a team, fund raise and we're happy to have everyone come out to pr about the disease. >> and light talk about that. >> sure. >> it's important to let people know they can form teams and they can be as big as one person. >> right,. >> or as many people as they want. >> and what is it they need to do to form a team? >> and ask your friends, family and fund raise. and all funds go to support care and research for alzheimer's disease, a great way to get involved if you have a loved one or know someone and a lot of people have friends

support the community. >> and i like to simply things a lot of times and this is one of those cases where i want you to simplify what is all timer's. and how can people understand it? >> it's a degenerative brain disease and dementia is an umbrella term and that is a symptom of alzheimer's and it's a brain disease and i think lot of people don't realize that and so they think that dementia is a diagnoseis and in fact, it's a symptom of the disease. >> and i know that you guys, especially the alzheimer's association of massachusetts and new hampshire, you are going out there and going the extra mile to try and educate people and this is important. >> we have a great latino education outreach lift and she provides awareness and support

order for them to get diagnosed and access services. we have an 800 number they can call any time of the day or night if they have questions and need help getting that kind of assistance. >> uh. >> and you mentioned awareness is key, right? >> right. >> and is this why it's important for you to get out there and let latinos know. i mean the number from 200,000 all the way to 1.3 million. >> right. >> and by 2050 and this is no good. >> and it's growing. a lot of the risk factors could be comorbidities and whatever other risk factors that come with latinos being affected and we're trying hard to really promote awareness to the community and i think a lot of times it's because there is a think barrier and we're working hard to get them educated and upa afraid to seek services. >> and about ever we leave. >> sure. >> and i know there is
