rain coming through and down pours and extra shoft energy from the atmosphere and -- shot of energy from the atmosphere. we still have severe thunderstorm warning up down here in southeastern massachusetts parts of bristol county and plymouth county in this region here. there's torrance of rain coming down -- tore aents of rain coming down -- torrents of rain coming down. wind gusts from the heavy rain burst in rain burst in here. meantime warning up is until 4:45. severe warning on essex county has gone by the board. it's all gone the warning expired and the cell that came out of central massachusetts going back to here this is where it was developing and it was a severe thunderstorm but no thunder and lightning. but we have a signature nearmarlboro that moved towards

that cell. moving towards concord you can see a little hook right in here and then headed towards bedford and towards the northeast towards billerica and tornado warning was extended into northeastern middlesex and expired and never did get up in essex county because it lost the rotation and that was the end of that. what we have is a lot of damage apparently down here in parts of concord. we are tating -- waiting to seeadditiona records from reports from sudbury and into this area. it will be done shortly and it's done to the west. that's what we are looking at is heavy rain over southeastern massachusetts and we will be out of this and have a beautiful day. it's going to be gray. bull we will have a -- great. but we will have to see what happened here very tornado warning rare especially when there's no thunder and lightning. near 80 and sunshine returning so it will be a good day and good week as well. more coming up.

you. we begin have a developing story where police and hidel sex district attorney are investigating the death of an elderly woman. police responded to the home on edgewater place around 2 sunday afternoon and say the woman was found unresponsive. she was taken to lahey clinic and pronounced -- dead. police in hookset new hampshire catch up with an an escaped felon andrew shea disappeared last operations unit arrested shea at a home in hookset. he was in prison for firearm possession and felony robbery charges. two young children are recovering after being unresponsive from lowell pool saturday night during a backyard birthday party. a neighbor is a registered nurse and says he revive the little girl. he didn't want to show his face on camera but told us what happened. >> checked the pulse and gave

few chest presidential and went back to giving her preeght and the child began to breath and i had a pulse and turned her on her side so water that was residually left in the lungs came out and she was crying on the way on the stretcher. >> both the little boy and girl were airlifted to hospitals in the boston area. they are expected to survive. boston police are investigating how a private party bus crashed into two pedestrians killing one of them. that accident happened on route 1a in east boston around on sunday. police say it is unclear if the two people were attempting to cross the highway. mayor walsh says it's too early to tell if new regulations are needed for party buses. >> until we find out thecircumstances i am not going to jump to conclusions saying we have to mandate regulating all the different buses. we will see what happens before we start to take the next step. >> and the bus company released a statement saying they are cooperating fully with the police department and it's the first accident they have had

1999. a saugus man is due in court accused of trying to stab a person to death. officers responded to this area along route 1 saturday night and found a victim with serious injuries. faces several charges including attempted murder and domestic assault and battery. the victim is in stable condition can. also due in court this monday a man police describe as a violent felon. police say 36-year-old james lyons stabbed a man outside friday morning. the victim was found slashed in the neck and taken to the hospital with serious injuries. as boston resumes new contract talks with the teachers union there's a new proposal to make major changes. the boston municipal research bureau says changes are needed to boost the quality of education. they are pushing to lengthen the school day and suggest overhauling the evaluation and job assignment and having merit raises replace the current guaranteed pay increases.

current contract ends on august 31st. it could be the end of the road for toll booths on the mass pike. today massdot discuss plans to demolish thelish the toll booth impleament all -- implement a all electronic tolling system they hope to have it operated by october. they will record tolls from drivers with ez pass transponders and vehicles without transponders will be build after a picture they will have to pay surcharge and this morning's tbloab is raising privacy concerns about the electronic tolling. the new system will have a feature that can alert police when a license plate or transponder goes through the tolls. state transportation official say the feature will only be used for public safety emergencies. president obama is back at the white house this morning. the first family wrapped up the two-week vacation on the vineyard yesterday. the president began with a hike

it's unusual and very rare to have a tornado in the early part of the morning and especially so when there's no thumbed are or -- thund he he or lightning. there's been torrents of rain in spots. -- thunder or height ening. there's been torrents of rain in spots. the rain -- lightening. there's been torrents of rain in spots. we have rain over southeastern massachusetts proceeding towards the cape and move off the cape so you folks on the showers but no severe thunderstorm warnings. so everything is cleared out in areas to the west. but let's go back to the west when severe thunderstorm warning went up this morning and went to a tornado warning in here near marlboro because the radar started to show rotation and when it has a rotation signature, we don't know all the time we have rotations aloft whether they will come down to the ground but there's been confirmation not necessarily ofa tornado but

see the hook in there in the radar signature of the rainfall. this is probably in there where the damage was occurring near concord and headed northeastward towards bedford and into northeastern middlesex county a tornado warning was put up here by the national weather service. and extended up into northeastern middlesex county until about 4 and it was allowed to expire and never did get beyond middlesex county. but a severe thunderstorm warning went up for essex un thunder or lightning with this but there's been damage in concord and we will see it during the news portion of the program of what damage has been occurring out there. so a lot of people doesn't know much of this is happening but it's pretty much a done deal and over with and we will have nice refreshing air coming on in here. so let's time this. the front moves offshore this morning it's gone by boston and wend shifted into the northwest and it's been humid overnight and very humid southeastern massachusetts but dry air is coming in and it's going to be partly cloudy soon and then a
