the community this morning about this crime. it had women in particular on edge in the south end in that neighborhood and now this arrest about a day and a half after the assault happened sure to bring some relief. the suspect is a convicted rapist who served time in prison on a similar crime. he was wearing an electronic monitoring bracelet that police say he cut off after this assault. they were able to trace where he had been and they were able to track him down. and that's the latest from boston police headquarters. christina hager, wbz news, breaking at 6:00. a worker takes a terrifying fall in roxbury, tumbling off scaffolding. this happened at about 2:00 this afternoon. the boston fire tells us the man is in serious condition. a man was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries

at the bmw dealership and an employee was hit by the falling branch. the man is 29 years old and is undergoing surgery. former senator scott brown is firing back, defending himself against claims that he sexually harassed a woman at a fox news channel. >> it's important to note that scott brown is not the target of he is mentioned in unflattering fashion. this afternoon he told me that as a guy who was sexually abused by a camp counselor when he was a kid and these allegations bother him. >> i don't condone nor do i participate in any type of conduct or actions that would perpetuate that type of

they were riding on the recreation trail when the teen smashed into several trees. he is at dartmouth hitchcock medical center. a dangerous crash inside the ted williams tunnel. a car slams into a work zone and that sent debris everywhere. it happened just before 10:00 and the driver was charged with oui and speeding but he was not badly hurt. a violent arrest caught on camera is set to plead guilty. prosecutors say that andrew monaco and a massachusetts state trooper hit a suspect two dozen times during this arrest earlier this year. the suspect had just led police on a chase. sky eye was over the scene. monaco will be in court thursday. and an argument between neighbors in worcester ended with a man dead.

today. police came to the home around 6:00 and found one man on the front lawn with a gunshot wound and that man died later at the hospital. signs of progress a day after a tornado tore through concord. lexington road reopened today. dozens of homes were damaged by the twister. only one suffered significant structural damage. the power has been restored to most of the area. the tornado tore through the community pack hour winds. it was on the ground for a half mile. good news for all of us living and working in massachusetts. our state's economy was named the best in the country. the staff looked at the economic -- and governor charlie baker came out on top at 72%. and it was our healthcare and

to take care of a cemetery on the cape. >> this guy's about 110 years of dirt. >> he's made it his mission to clean it all. >> it's the history of the town. the people paved the way for us so we owe it to them. and >> reporter: charlie decided to clean every headstone. he's been at it for the three years. >> i started at the corner and i'm up to 800 stones. >> reporter: one at a time he carefully scrubs the old headstones and applies a biological spray. >> i know they use this product at arlington national cemetery.

the headstones were black and unreadable. >> weep not for me. i with jesus rest. >> and when i see the stones clean it's so rewarding. it's unbelievable. >> reporter: he chose this cemetery because his parents are buried here. he does that hard work three or four days every week for free. >> i think my wife is happy to get me out of the house but that's only a sometimes i can do up to five or six, but sometimes it may take two or three days to get a stone to where i need to get it. >> reporter: he hopes to finish cleaning the cemetery next summer. >> this is part of the community just as much as a living person. these are monuments. they didn't want to be forgotten. >> reporter: charlie is

1/2' at 86. a warm day and the humidity is low tomorrow. it won't feel muggy. and we're continuing to see beach days. 80 on the cape and the islands. 84 on friday. and friday is the day we'll start to introduce the chance for a couple of showers. more southwesterly winds on thursday. and an increase in cloud cover but i think all the showers are going to stay off to the west. friday, a slight chance for a shower or a storm. and it will be a day and the highs will be approaching 90 yet again. the front is here to end the week. and another big sprawling area of high pressure just taking upwraps over the northeast. it means a lot of sunshine and warm temperatures and more dry weather if you're out and about on saturday and sunday. a big wedding weekend and lots of events going on. the only chance for the -- a
