degrees. 73 at logan airport this morning and still 71 in worcester. there are still some warm places but it's cooled off in western new england. you see a lot of 50s out in here. the skies essentially on the clear side. i don't see too in clouds around there, just a couple of scattered clouds. a lot of sunshine this morning. there's going to be a lot of high thin cloudiness during the day and few puffy clouds as well. here's today's forecast, 88 further away from the ocean and about 80 at the coastline this afternoon. less humid. we actually have a high tide occurring this morning at 7:30. tomorrow it's about the same, the upper 80s away from the ocean, 81 at the coast with sea breeze. the rest of my forecast coming up. >> barry, thank you we begin with breaking news. there's been an arrest in the

two counts of capitol murder. he was a person of interest early on. after a lengthy interview last night it gave them enough to charge him. the sisters were found stabbed to death inside their home on thursday and police found their stolen car less than a mile away. they worked as nurse practitioners serving the poor and if times of crisis opened their home to neighbors. >> we had that hurricane katrina andob they let us use their kitchen and we cooked out of there and everything. >> a memorial mass for the nuns will be held monday in mississippi. an update on breaking news from rockport. this is the man accused of attacking a woman. he's under arrest. police say he pushed her to the ground and try today rip off her clothes. it was local business owners who gave police the break they needed. officers in gloser were able to match the suspect to

is identified as 22-year-old angle castro. on wednesday night police say castro attacked a 50-year-old from behind knocking her to the ground. that's when castro tried to remove her clothing but was unable to so he fled taking off on a bike. witnesses told wbz they could hear that woman's screams and those screams may have saved her life. rockport police released this surveillance video of castro. yesterday. castro facing charges with assault with intent to commit rape and assault and battery on a disabled person. he will be arraigned on monday. new development on a developing story. three people were hurt when a pick up truck crashed into the square cafe on north street. crash investigators spent several hours on the scene. this morning police tell wbz the driver was not under the influence.

said why 29-year-old jeffery mahoney drove into the front of the building. he's facing charges. two of those injured were customers inside the restaurant. the third was a passenger in his truck. this morning a death investigation is under way in the small town of massachusetts border's with new hampshire where a man and woman were found dead in their front yard. police say this is a murder-suicide. now they want to know why. the bodies were found yesterday in ashby >> it's just awful. >> investigators spent hour s collecting evidence down at dead end rule in rural ashby where the bodies of a man and woman were discovered outside on friday afternoon. the result of an apparent murder-suicide according to the middlesex da. >> they were a nice couple. they were nice. >> neighbors said they lived

in recent years. >> they had problems just like everybody does. >> in this small town where everybody knows their neighbors this cup. was remembered fondly. >> she was very nice. out of the blue every now and then she would call and chitchat and that was it. we didn't hear from them for a while. >> very sad. >> so far the names of those involved have not been released. investigators do say there is no danger to the public. in morning. if you live near the charles river you might want to head out to the long fellow bridge since you're awake anyway. around 7 crews will be venting the pipes. that will send out a huge cloud of steam. traffic will be shut down until the venting ends. the fight over body cameras isn't over yet in boston. far from it. the police officers union is now suing to prevent

they said forces officers to use it violates the collective bargaining treatment. -- agreement. the city and the officers signed off on the program only if officers volunteered. when that didn't happen a random consultant choose 100 officers to participate. there's now a $5,000 reward that leads police to the vandals who blew up a n salem. it's the box for an lgbt paper salem called the rainbow times. as many as 7 people were caught blowing it up on tuesday night. amtrak is threatening to cut service from boston to new york and to washington dc over a legal bat with the mbta. they want to pick up the tab for $340 million in track maintenance cost. the mbta said that boston

september is going to be kind of a hot month. >> we can keep going to the bech through the school year. -- beach throughout the school year. >> the teachers don't want to hear that. breanna, yesterday we had the 19th day of 90 or higher. now that is pretty amazing. normally in the city of boston you get an average of 13 . i know last winter we were talking about big hot summer coming up and, yep, we got the 1 yesterday afternoon. man, it was sweltering yesterday afternoon with that humidity really incredible. well, we go back to 2015. we had 25. it's possible we're going to be closer to 25 before we get through this year because it looks like some hot weather is coming. especially as we get into the first part of september. can you believe that? it looks like we're going to have august as being the warmest august on record. 2016

yesterday it was about 10 or 11 degrees above average. so that's crazy. let's go to some of the numbers this morning. it's recovered and cooled off and refreshing and nice out there this morning. if fact, we have -- in fact, we have some places down in the 50s. the typical places like the airport, sanford at 54 degrees. we've got 59 in concord. we've got 65 in man chester. we have 60 in bedford at the airport. we have 59 degrees in norwood and 60 in taunton. ther have the urban heat canopy of boston at logan airport at 73 degrees this morning. it's still 70 down at falmouth. most places are basically clear. the sun will be rising a little after 6:00 the morning. we're looking at dew points that have fallen from yesterday being 70 to 74 in the afternoon especially after a few of those showers fell and we got -- actually, it felt more

the oppressive air has pushed to the south for now. there will be a slight bump up in humidity and a little bit on monday. it's not going to be the lower 70s like yesterday. air temperatures today in the upper 80s. 88 degrees should be a common number away from the ocean. at the coastline 79, 80 or 81 degrees during the afternoon hours because the breezes will be coming over shore. at it's going to be a land breeze this morning and then shifts into the sea breeze. we have a high tide coming up early this morning at 7:30 and another one this evening at 7:49 and a low at about 1:30. through the day watch the time stamp. we're going to see some fair weather clouds forming inland away from the sea breeze and high thin cloudiness may be seen this afternoon. just elements of

now let's look at the negative and that was jimmy garoppolo. he struggled all game long. he got the start and made a pass down into red zone on the first drive. luke kuechly dropped the interception. pats recover it but jimmy never got it together last night. tom brady wasn't perfect. he didn't start. he came in at the end a field goal before hooking up with chris hogan. 33 yard touchdown. he was 3-9, 76 yards and the the touchdown. after the game jimmy said he needed to play better. who looked good, the rookie jacobi berset. that's a nice draw for the third round pick out of nc state.

hitting some communities on the south shore. some brief downpours just north of boston up through lynn and places like that. there's boston. the showers were right south of boston sort of weakened, went north of born -- of boston, boston didn't get any rain out of it. there were heavier showers in some locations in plymouth county and down over the cape as well. that was about the end of that. it appears almost a shoe in driest summer in record. in boston we're had 3.92 inches in 2016 and the prove -- the previous record for the driest summer was 3.97 back in 1957. there's not a chance of getting more showers around here. we have temperatures right now in the 70s around a few low 70s to 60s. up to the north we find it's cool in canada and some of this cool air
